Ohhhhh, my!! Just read back...are those yellow jackets or hornets? I've never seen yellow hornets, but hornets are ground nesters. Either way, OUIE!! Hope your feeling better, Adrena. I found a red wasp nest in the core of our shed door one day. Well, I should say they found me. About 6-8 hits in the ear and side of the head. Very painful, but luckily I'm not allergic. We have lots of wasps and even more yellow jackets around here, but more so we have a ton of scorpions. I'll take on a nest of wasps any day over one of those, LOL!


Hhhmm, I was just researching to see what they are and they are yellow jackets, but not the 'yellow jackets' that I have been accustomed to. Seems my thoughts of yellow jackets are really paper wasps. I guess that is kinda like growing up thinking cicada is a locust and crane flies are mosquito eaters (hawks)..... Learn sumthin' new everyday!!
