Erin, my city library has an ebook lending program. You just go to the website and checkout the d/l like you would a hard copy. When it is due to be returned (you will know beforehand) the d/l expires... kinda like a trial software does. All is free with my library card. (Yes peeps, I have one..........now I really feel BORING!)Do you know what the biggest problem with buying ebooks is? Not the drm or portability, that I can fix easily enough. It's that, it just doesn't really FEEL like spending money, IYSWIM. It's not like buying other things online where you have physical things that come to your door, it's not like going to a bookstore and buying physical books either. There's no real "evidence", so there's no hubby complaining about your spending habits. And they are NEVER out of stock. But they are definitely never THAT cheap, since it isn't like you can buy used ebooks...yet. (and I really miss used book stores) It's just sooo much easier to blow your budget on ebooks. Especially since I've got author alerts on my rss feed so I never miss a book from my favorite authors, no matter how long it's been since their last publication.
I wonder if there's a program for this.
Might check out your local libraries to see if they have anything of interest.
