The one time our cat went outside the litter box it was right in the middle of our bed. I assume she was trying to make a statement. We ended up throwing away the down comforter because no matter what we did, we couldn't get the smell out.

You speak the trut. I had to buy some insane $50 cleaning product.... so couldn't afford that on a cleaning product, but you gotta do what you gotta do when you're talking THAT degree of stank. rofl

& you guys do know that white vinegar breaks down Cat urine ...? Amazingly well !! I have a spray bottle full of it ! Cuz we have a outdoor male kitty that sneaks in the house when he can get away with it . Luckily it doesn't happen often ,but I stay prepared for it ....cuz "oh my hell" that is a BAD SMELL !!

Cuz we have a outdoor male kitty that sneaks in the house when he can get away with it . Luckily it doesn't happen often ,but I stay prepared for it ....cuz "oh my hell" that is a BAD SMELL !!

You know, I knew about the white vinegar thing, but it didn't work great. I'm thinking that was before I knew about the 'scrub clean and lay down damp towel over it for 12 hours' thing, though. I'll have to give that a whirl. Its all but totally gone, but we live in arizona, its a room right next to a sliding glass door, and its hot as hell. Noone else ever catches a trace, I don't think, but I have alarmingly acute senses due to the fibro. lol That's a one a month or so trace I'd be thrilled not to have to deal with, and just know its gone 100%. Ever use the vinegar in a carpet shampooer, or would that kill it, I wonder?

Yeah that was a stinky mess! I did run my smock top and under shirt through the wash B4 I left, I don't think I could of stood myself on the ride home smelling like that.

4 Oclock walks are not healthy IMO.... If the doc is asking you to walk, I would ask the doc what is a good time.....

I need to get it done then, or I'll end up taking an afternoon nap. Then I'll have to start fixing supper. No way I'm gonna manage to get up and moving an hour earlier than normal just so I can get to work on time. Am NOT a morning person!

I cheated & stepped on the scale early (only supposed to check on Fridays) and I've dropped 9 lbs already. Multiply that by 8 and I'll really be on my way!

Ever use the vinegar in a carpet shampooer, or would that kill it, I wonder?

That's all I use in my deep cleaner (Bissell). 1 part vinegar to 3 parts hot water. It works well in removing pet stains/odors.

For really bad smells, clean with vinegar/water solution first, then sprinkle baking soda and let sit overnight. Steam clean spot again with vinegar/water solution the next day.

Piggy wanted to breed our male blue persian and it was all fine till one day she left for work and he sprayed. wow. He was in the vet that same day getting his nuts chopped off. been like three years and he sprays no longer.
