we try and try, maybe too much practice is a bad thing. Some day we will look int adopting.
My server aggravation is almost at an end! 
After a week (off and on in my spare time) I got it up & running, but it wouldn't allow any of the 'puters on the network to see any of the shares. Arrrgh! The kiddos WANT their movies.
I kept digging deeper & deeper into the log files chasing & trying to correct whatever threw each error, and after a while I "thought" I was good to go. No dice. Finally discovered that when the power went out it was in the process backing up the shares through DriveExtender. When the shares didn't match, kept getting on OS failure. S.O.a B.! Managed to pull all the files off the various 'good' shares and onto my desktop. Now doing a complete factory reset on the server.
Time to either buy a new UPS or a new battery for my APC UPS. Whichever is most cost effective. It's only money. That I can ill afford right now... it's always something.

most of those run on 24v battery configuration. i got a couple of bigger ones i am going to set up in my basement and run them off a couple of car batteries lol that should make them run long time lol
