No, really I completely understand!
It happens all the time, I just dislike it when people kill them just because they don't like them.

I'll have to admit to killing the cottonmouths that come out of the coulee and into the yard. Most of them are under 4', but we've had some 5-6 footers in the yard.

One of our dogs, Chewy, has cottonmouth 'radar' & she alerts us when they're in the backyard.

The ones i have talked to Don't like to listen.

About 19 years ago a friend moved in cuz his gramma died.
And after about a week he asked who the kids were that talked all night.. I never sadi anything about them... but if you slept in this one tiny spot in my house , you could hear ALL NIGHT LONG a little boy and girl about 8 and 9 asking "Mom, mommy, where are you?" over and over... so after awhile i couldn't take it and thought something in my head and asked em who they were... to my suprize they answered back.. and i figured out they were from the old west time and that something happend. and i told them to try harder to find her. and I never heard them again.

I later found out that our house had been an old horse stable over a hundred years before. and the main house had been burn down by someone and had killed everyone in it.
And i belive this because if you dug about 4 feet down in front of our house you would find the top of an old fence and burnt wood and old cloudy window glass.

This gave me chills! Thank you for sharing!

Tacoma Wa,
I definitely believe that. I remember watching my daughter when she was a baby, and also growing up through the years. Many would say that they are just playing and it is just their imagination running wild with them. When my girl was about 1 or so I used to think that she seen things. Used to freak me out a bit and just thinking about and typing this now I still get chills kinda. I would put her down at night or get her in the morning and I would notice that she wasn't always staring right at me...like she was looking over my shoulder. Even a couple years later she would be playing in here room and we would hear her voice. I'd sneak down the hall to hear her better and it was like she was actually carrying on a conversation. As soon as I would enter the room she would just look up at me then back over to the corner where an old dresser sat....then she would just start playing again and if I asked she would just say I was just playing daddy.

My ex's grandfather passed away before we had her and he really liked squirrels. My ex was visiting up at the old homestead and when she returned she came back with a few toys. One of which was this old stuffed toy squirrel. She would not let that thing out of her sight. She had always loved teddy bears and kitties before that. I know that can easily be dismissed, but I found it interesting.

Anyway, there is my little story...

Cool story, I too think everyone is born with it and it's blocked out, by choice or by others.
I can block mine fairly easy and i'm glad i can. but i sometimes open it up and tell people all about their house. and i can tell i am right on by the look on their face and when they ask "How did you know all that"
Except for the two kid ghosts.. i'm to afraid to "help" people cross over or whatever happens to us when our body dies.

I don't know if it is something we as living people are supposed to be doing or not.
Talking is one thing.. but guiding them to something unknown is another.

You betcha, they keep the rats and other grain eating varmints under control. The ecology of Mother Nature ain't purdy but living in the country makes you have a healthy respect for it. I just think all spiders are unnecessary and should be sent to hades! ;)

If they're up in a web catching bugs I leave 'em alone. If they're creeping around my house... squish!

Tacoma Wa,
The saddest thing i see is living near a huge mental hospital and on thursdays they let about 40 people out at the park across the street from them.
And over the week you see them wander around town with nothing... but Every now and then I see one of them fighting or yelling at nothing next to them... but when i stop blocking i can "see" who they are with.. and i think it's sad some people think they a crazy because they are talking to thin air.. cuz sometimes it's not.

So then i wonder....Did the ghost drive them become mental? or did the ghost latch onto them because they can see them because they were already mental?... I wish i could help them... but how do you go upto a complete stranger who was just let out of a mental hospital and ask them about their "friend"?

On the edge of insanity..
What purpose do skeets serve? Other than to spread disease, that is.

I watched something on Animal Planet (I think) and although I can't remember what purpose they served it was pretty important. They showed these big labs setup where they raised and harvested the larvae. Kinda weird...but I'm with ya, I can't stand a skeeter either!
