NoNo....you've not heard of The Asylum? They make fairly crappy ripoffs of big-budget films. It's kinda like SyFy channel stuff.

Reload my post above, I added IMDB links to both.

OMG. I've seen some of their schlock. Some is pretty "good", whilst the rest is mostly craptacular.

Aaargh, on the ongoing saga of getting new insurance, this is the response I got. After I TOLD THEM ALREADY THAT THE RENOVATIONS ARE NOT COMPLETED.

"Thank you for the pictures of your home. After careful review, USAA will need to decline this risk. The reason for the decline is simply because the renovations are not finished and this can make the home more susceptible to a loss. Now, once the renovations are completed, by all means check back with USAA and we will definitely reconsider. As always, thank you for trusting USAA with your business needs."

Never mind that we can keep neither the mortgage nor the home if we can not keep insurance.

I could pull my hair out. I wouldn't have wasted my time with that company if I'd known. And I was VERY clear on the state of the house.

OMG - gotta love working with Insurance.......NOT!

When we were looking at buying the place we are at now they tried to tell use we needed Flood insurance and we are probably 400 yds+ from a dry creek. AND our house is probably 50' higher ground than the DRY creek bed.

Needless to say we told them they were crazy - they checked with previous home owners, etc and decided we were right and did not need it.
