I do read all the threads, and I wasn't attacking them. You have no need to defend Chris and Danno, I am a fan. My suggestion was a lighthearted one. I have communicated with Chris and Danno enough to know that they actually appreciate suggestions. Sorry i didn't make myself clear. I won't be watching videos as my speakers don't work on my laptop and I can't hear them. Again, I was just throwing it out there. I am not attacking anyone. Please forgive me.

Also you will notice this is the "GotVapes for Dummies" thread. This is the safe place where we can ask stupid questions. So I am asking my stupid questions at will, as is the spirit of this particular thread. I am sorry you found my suggestion stupid. But that is what this thread is for.

Peace out.

THANK YOU! I wish "the People That Sell These Things" (hint hint Chris and Danno) would send cleaning instructions with the clearos! Like, in the ENVELOPE.:D

You are welcome. :)

Actually, you have a point there. I think it would be difficult for them to actually stick something into every package, but what would work equally well is that if Bad or Danno made a sticky for "tried and tested cleaning methods" for their products. That way they will be easy for people to find... This wouldn't be a discussion thread, but rather an info thread - maybe folks who know how could come up with a detailed description (maybe a video to go with it, or a drawing to illustrate it), then Bad or Danno could give it a quick look-see and "stick" it into the thread. Several methods per product would be fine, just as long as something totally off the wall doesn't end up there.

What do you think? Would it work? Be helpful?

All that info really can be a PITA to find, especially with so many products on the site now... And then you have to research who thinks what about which method. If we know that the GV guys give it their "ok", then we'd know the particular method won't blow up the device at least... :D

Tina (I hope it's ok - I'm guessing on the name, please correct me if I'm wrong - you are *not* asking stupid questions, and it's perfectly obvious you are not attacking anyone, so don't apologize. You are absolutely right - this whole thread was started so we'd have a safe place to ask any questions we feel like asking and not feel like dummies. :D

So ask away - anything at any time.

I think your idea is a good one in principle. I struggled a lot in the beginning, and sometimes still do, because occasionally the info is not so easy to dig up, and even when it's easy to find, it takes a very long time to read through the discussions so one can make an informed decision.

Not everyone has lots and lots of time to do it. I'm lucky, I do - but I'm also disabled, single, and can't get out much, so I spend a lot of time on my 'puter - it's my window into the world.

Of course with a full time job and four kids you don't have that kind of time, bless you. So, like I said, if you need help, ask away. Lots of folks are perfectly willing to share what they know.

Cheers. :)

That is a GREAT idea! Like I said, I do read the threads, but there must be 100,000 posts a day on ECF!

I usually get 4-8 business cards with my orders if they made a business card with just the name/website then a product description and a simple cleaning method on the back for each product it would be nice. They could keep a stack by every box of product and grab one with every item they throw in the order. Then when someone ask me what I have I could just hand them the card with the website on it and a product description.

I would leave out the dry burn part of the cleaning process and put that on the forum.

Not only would this be a simple and convenient idea but their business cards could use an update. The front only mentions e-cig kits (in general), fluxos, juice, and cartos. The back talks about the advantage of e-cigs with pictures of a standard 510 manual. I don't know about everyone else but I don't recommend got vapes for 180 mah batteries and filler cartos, I tell people about their stingray, volt, egos, stardust, and vision.

Interesting ideas. Not sure if they have the time to do much of this, however, while they keep bringing all this new stuff out. I'm sure they're really stretched. The cleaning sticky probably wouldn't take too long to create and maintain, however.

I haven't been able to keep up with all the threads recently - too much information! So happy we have great people here who do, and can bring back the stuff we need to us here.

A special shout out to Briar! I see her all over the forum, and she is a mine of information. Thanks Briar for taking the time to help us out.

That's what I was thinking...

I'll tell ya, when I first showed up around here, I was confused out of my frazzled wits. Lots and lots of people helped me out, and lots and lots of people still do, 'cause in addition to having frazzled wits, I'm as curious as ten cats. LOL

I've realized that the insane pace of development in this industry keeps me constantly on my toes and interested, and that helps keep me away from cigs - which is the point, right?

I like it here - GV and this forum has a community feel to it, and while I can, I like contributing. But I think I talk too much... Wouldn be the first time.

No such thing as talking to much on a forum. Personally I've tried to help some and had it back fire on me. But also I know I don't post enough of what I've learned to help others willing to learn. (I'm A very quiet person, always been a downfall for me. Just my nature.)

I still haven't cleaned my Phoenix either... Firstly, I don't think I need to yet, and secondly, I'm afraid to. :D I'm going to be stringing myself along for a while with this one - it just *looks* scary. Tempted to just use it until the vape quality sucks, and then just toss, or just try rinsing it or something. Of course, that's the same thing I said about Fluxos originally...

I'm chicken.

Actually, I can't quite get used to it. The vapor is just a tad cool for me. And the draw a bit loose - I'm using two of them right now (in addition to half a dozen Stardusts and two Vivi tanks - see why I don't have to clean them yet? lol), and one has a draw that is *just* looser than I like, and the other is like taking in air. People complain about Stardust draw being too tight - but it's just right for me.

I think if I use mostly PG juice in it, I can crank it up higher though to where I like. Mind ye, it's not that I like *hot* vape, but I do like it warm...

It's fantastic tech though. No leaking, good taste, and I really like minimal wicks - I'm getting paranoid about fiberglass. I'd like to see the wicks gone altogether, frankly.

I am a chicken too. I think they are cheap enough to just toss them and not try the scary cleaning. lol

I'm a huge chicken about taking stuff apart.....but the small Phoenix and the Stardusts are really easy to clean. I did them in the past by rinsing well....but have an ultrasonic cleaner arriving today. Got a little pile of stuff waiting to be cleaned...

I actually did it with a friend's cleaner. I just used filtered water....ran a few cleaning cycles, then changed the water and did a few rinse cycles. They came out great!!!! When mine comes, I'm going to do white vinegar first, then water. I cleaned them without removing the silicone cap at the top....but have since figured out how to take those out and put them back, so will probably do it that way.

Phoenix should be easy....the top comes off easily. Just put it on a battery and rock it off. My only issue with the Phoenix has been the seal at the top....will be asking Bad for some with my next order.

Hi everyone. I do want to stress that taking apart, cleaning, and putting the phoenix back together is really easy. I love how cheap they are, however - cheap enough to be considered disposable. I'm with briar too - still finding myself reaching for a stardust all the time!

So, who's gonna be the guinea pig and try the stardusts with the long wick?

Oh, Morgan, Morgan... You are so rational, God bless you. I have 7 unopened Stardusts, 19 in rotation, and 10 awaiting cleaning (not because they are dirty, per se, but because I got tired of juices in them).

I'm sitting on my hands and gritting my teeth trying to stop myself from getting more while they are on sale (will probably lose that battle). I am a verified Stardust fanatic! My greatest fear is that they will discontinue making them, or re-engineer them out of existence. My greatest vape is a Stardust on top of a Twist (aaaaaahhhh... bliiiissss....)

You think I'm going to pass up on this wonderous new toy? ME?!? No way. I don't suffer from rationality. I'm going to grab it on the first day and the first hour, and you can bet on that! :D
