Now that literally made me laugh out loud!

Yeah, I'm pretty rational - it's a curse sometimes, a blessing at others. I'm also saving up for my next road trip as I'm getting those itchy feet blues again.

Meanwhile, I'm looking forward to vicariously enjoying your new stuff. What else are you gonna get? Did the scorpion ever drop?

No, the scorpion hasn't dropped yet, but, yes, I'm going to get at least a couple when it comes out. Then there is also the top-coil Phoenix (gotta try *that* - bottom coil is too cool for me, though the taste is great), and Bad keeps talking about a hybrid carto that is a bottom fed top-coil with a small filler plug around the coil - to alleviate wicking problems, I presume. Bad says that since there is 90% less filler, there is 90% less sock taste, so I'm going to try that one as well. I guess I'm going to try everything I can afford to try. I'm cursed with unbound curiosity and itchy fingers. Fortunately, my resources are extremely limited, and therefore so is my folly. Like, for instance, I would love to get the Tox (not that I need it, I have a Provari and two Twists, plus four regular eGos - but I'm *curious*, and it's a *toy*...), but even with the moving sale it's too much. The Karma would be cool too, it looks pretty, but it would look stupid with a Stardust, so no-go on that one, even though it's borderline affordable on sale.

Oh, and don't forget the new ViVi heads - gotta get me some of those!

Participating in the Alpha program will be heaven for me - can't wait!

Oh, God help me... I'm dooooooomed...

So where are you going on your road trip? I love traveling, too, and I would love to take my pickup and just drive somewhere for weeks. Always wanted to go to Alaska. Grand Canyon, too - I saw it once from an airplane, and have been wanting to walk there ever since... I'd love to visit Europe again, too - Greece expecially, and England, and Scotland, and Ireland; I am a history fanatic, and a NeoDruid too, so all those places would be like finally seeing reality behind the book pages. When I was in Rome it was just like that - to touch the stones was a wonder... Alas, my health and purse are not up to it. So you can enjoy the new toys vicariously, and I want to enjoy your road trip vicariously! :D

I actually did it with a friend's cleaner. I just used filtered water....ran a few cleaning cycles, then changed the water and did a few rinse cycles. They came out great!!!! When mine comes, I'm going to do white vinegar first, then water. I cleaned them without removing the silicone cap at the top....but have since figured out how to take those out and put them back, so will probably do it that way.

Phoenix should be easy....the top comes off easily. Just put it on a battery and rock it off. My only issue with the Phoenix has been the seal at the top....will be asking Bad for some with my next order.

Just thought I'd add a little trick that worked for me (ifyou happen to have any knitting needles laying around:lol:)
I tried getting that little seal off they way Bad showed in his video. Gave up because I was afraid of totally ripping it. Anyways, I had some bamboo knitting needles laying on my desk, picked up the size 2, slipped the head into the tube , perfect fit, and pushed it out slick as a whistle. Am thinking a small wooden dowel would work just as well.Makes it easy to get it back in where it belongs after cleaning too.
Just tried the eraser end of a pencil for fit. It works too

Just saw this from bad, in the thread about the replaceable head stardusts:

from what im understanding all 5 new products including the new stardusts heads will be universal across the board, the reason im not saying its 100% yet, is because 2 more new lines are coming with removable heads and im not sure whats going on with those yet

briar, good luck!

That would be just totally awesome if the heads are universal to all the products.

I drive an 18 wheeler, so I see the country all the time (a lot more then I ever see my house). But makes it hard for me, cause I order things, track them and then have to wait till I get home (knowing they are there waiting on me is a plus but also a down side cause i want them now LOL)

So, I just re-read my original post, and not much seems to have changed. I really wanted to like the phoenix XL 'cos they are so cheap. And I do like it them, I really do.

But I still find myself reaching for my stardusts. And, because of this thread, I know how to clean them properly. And man, they just keep going! A bargain actually.

I am still intrigued by the metal tank potential of the vivi nova. How are these working out for you now?

I'm with you on the Stardust.

As for the ViVi - the heads that worked, still work. I got two going, and haven't had to replace them, or even clean them for that matter. Fantastic vapor, a bit of dry hitting on the bottom half of the tank, but not too bad. Taste a bit subdued in comparison to Stardust, but, again, perfectly acceptable, especially on the stronger tasting juice.

One of my tanks is all crazed - as in "almost cracked, with little teeny crackelettes all over the place", not "insane"... From the high acidity juice, I presume. Haven't gotten a metal tube yet - will do so when next I order.

I like this tank, I really do. I think with the new heads and a bit better flavor, it'll be fantastic, especially with all the modular possibilities. To be honest, though, I hope that the new heads can be used with the current tank. There is nothing wrong with the tank, and I really don't want to spend another 30 or so bucks for two new tanks. I got four of the current ones, and I'd hate for them to be wasted. Besides, I'd rather spend my money, limited that it is, on the Alpha stuff. LOL But, I guess, what will be will be.

I think so, but I'm not 100% sure. But I think they said that you could - can they even program a thread so that it's only visible to some people and not others?.. Dunno.
I don't know how it works with suppliers, but I know the Wellness> Wrecked and Bonkers has a thread that you have to ask for the keys for ...........
