The cart I used had wide open holes. The entire inner hole is visible in the slot. I can report that the holes and/or how they line up with the slot are NOT the issue.

Mike--can you look inside of one of your cartos on The Phoenix steel cartos and tell me if you see the seal and stem or if it just hollowed down to the wick and coil.
Someone mentioned that there could be a possibility of a 'saving face' situation. This is possible. A few hours later, after I had went off on them (and they knew it was serious because I just don't do that)...the main honcho came to me and offered to send samples of 1) an adjustment made on one and 2) a carto done basically the way it was done originally. I Think it is very possible that a 'saving face' situation is _possibly_ what we may have here. At first, the engineer thinking ("oh shat!" - how ever they say that in mandarin) and then telling his boss, "oh yeah thats how it is supposed to be, thats the ticket" to see if it would fly with us. When they then saw my reaction they huddled up afterwards and came out of their meeting with a 'solution' to send samples. So they are sending 'fixes', and these 'fixes' may be the way it was supposed to go out in the first place. I don't know, they are supposed to go out right away.

I didn't get candy either. I sure hope there's a fix for this. I agree, this is not good news for Gotvapes, but it's not the end of the world. The replacement dct tank fits better and seems to be helping, but my pretty teal tank is just sitting there. I'm going to finish this tank and then try the Raven tank again.
but IF the ring could be moved up the slot the hole would be bigger, IMHO the issue is the size and juice feed, coil and cup work better if dripped into but maybe not
Actually there was two days of _heavy_ shipping of these...the Telescope situation is a mild, sunny, low humidity day in the park with a picnic basket compared to this...
btw...fresh resupply of candy coming...all I have is taffy left and some were complaining of ants and melting so i am going to hold most of that 'til weather gets cooler...

that's a inner ring above the cup you see covering 2/3 of the slot IF it could be moved up the slot would be a lot more wide open
Open isn't the problem. The problem is getting the liquid to the center of the wick. Only a certain velocity and volume of air flow will do that. Basic fluid dynamics.
The liquid I'm using is thin. If that hole isn't big enough, then you might as well remove the entire tube and let the coil sit inside the tank.

I know its still early in RavenGate... but let us know what you plan to do to fix this on the customer service end when you guys know. I am not sure if sending out replacements when they come in will be an option as who knows how long it will take to make them right. May have to credit everyone back $ on all raven orders, or credit all accounts with GV store credit.... which may be better for you as you would not be out 100% of the $, just your cost on what was bought with the store credit.
May be worth it to put all totally new products into alpha first, even if you do get a large order of them in put up 10-20 up in alpha so the alpha people can give them a go before a few hundred get shipped out. Worth a few more days wait to verify that everything is as it should be.
Lastly a visual inspection prolly should have been done before these were shipped out which would brought the design change to light before they were shipped out to the public.
I know we all went a little stark-raven-mad with the huge build up to what we all still hope will end up being an awesome product, I guess the rush of excitement got the better of us this time.

Would have caught it in a New York minute....had the one in New York been the one to see the final product. Danno had no way of knowing it was any different from the first set of testers as he didn't do any of the testing
It was an honest mistake to assume that the supplier supplied the same product.

Well, I didn't get mine today, probably tomorrow. I am not looking forward to it. I have been using Boge cartos since I started vaping, exclusively in tanks now. I have always loved the Boge experience, but since Boge has messed up their cartos, I thought I'd try something new so I can replace my beloved Boges when I run out of my old stock.
I never buy anything newly out there, usually wait a while to see if it's good. So many folks started going crazy about these, I took a chance and bought 6 of them. From now on, I'll wait for reviews... I really should stay away from vape shopping when I've had adult beverages... BTW, I've read the whole thread on this, and I certainly don't blame GV for any of it.

M4J, I'm browsing here for the same Boge-related reasons and am looking at the Stallions. Have you seen them yet? There is a thread on them here. They have some filler in them so I thought I'd give them a try sometime, not being a clearo person.
ALPHA is for supplier's/manufacturers who don't necessarily have a track record with us. The Phoenix Raven comes from the manufacturer of arguably the most successful and widely praised carto ever introduced...
