Well the whole "for the cure," makes me think that the majority of the money they collect goes to cancer research. Buuuuut, that's not exactly what they do. I'll leave it at that. I will let you do your own research and make your own opinion.

Em -- Did you hear about the woman that they injected with enough measles vaccine for 1000 people. It killed every cancer cell and she is now cancer free. Made me feel good about the donations.

Yeah and that pisses me off doctors getting people that don't know no better strung out on opiates. My doctor makes it clear you will be out on your ... if you abuse his scripts.

That's the way that my doctor works, I'm tested upon demand & it the lab results aren't right, I'm outta luck. Few doctors around here does pain management & the ones that does are always skeptical. They have to be, it's through patients that many of these high demand narcotics are on the streets.

My failed four level lumbar fusion was in May 2006 & worked through severe pain for a year before then. My doctor wouldn't refer me to a spinal surgeon until the pain went shooting through my right hip & leg, which put me out of work. Honestly. I thought something was wrong with that right hip/leg, but MRI's showed the cyatic nerve being pinched & most of my lumbar discs were shot, a couple were rubbing bone.

It is terrible, but I'm thankful for what medicine that I do get, as it does provide relief from crippling pain. Nerve pain is very hard to control, plus some of the implants themselves are also part of today's issues.

My recommendation to anyone, surgery should be the last option for back pain & normally isn't done by reputable spine surgeons, unless there's pain/numbness in the limbs.

This illness, caused by osteoarthritis, has wrecked my life in many ways. I can no longer go vistiing friends like prior, all of them are gone now. They did come to see me at first, but the conversation always turned into "do you have an extra Percocet?" or other pill. They weren't my friends after all. One of my family members tried to steal medicine from me, that's so rotten & dirty & I know that it happens to others. It takes a sorry soul to steal a family members (or anyone's) medicine needed to relieve pain.

I'm so glad for ECF & other forums where I participate (mostly computer/tech related), my friends on the forums are all that I have, several great ones that I otherwise wouldn't have met.

I completely understand. I have had back issues forever. I won't get into it but, it is miserable sometimes!

So I filled my reo with caramel pear black tea today. I like it. The caramel isnt just gross like all other caramel vapes besides caramel apple. The pear tastes just like a real pear too. Im not really getting any tea though, I was hoping itd be heavier than it is. I'll have some feedback this time, lol. I was hoping for a bitter flavor to mix with the sweet more I guess. Its still an excellent flavor, doubt I'll be switching for a day or two:)

What does the black tea portion taste like? Is it aromatic at all - like the scent of black tea leaves? or more smooth like the flavor of drinking black tea?

I didn't, that's really neat! My own personal beliefs is that we can't get cancer if we believe we are healthy and won't get cancer. I tune to a more esoteric approach to spirituality and health. Not quite mind over matter but spirit over matter.

I wonder why I've been OD'ing on TPR Peanut Butter Creme Pie and Banana Pudding lately. Seriously can't put either of them down. Fill one Dripper and the other and vaping away rotating each. YUM!!!!

That TPR Banana Pudding is something else, right? OMG. I haven't tried the PBCP yet. YET.

Catilly -- Glad you found ECF. I have degenerative disc disease now and you are so right about the nerve pain, hard to deal with. I have never been a depressed person and have always believed that life is filled with as many ups as downs. I laugh at the downs when I can with humor, and realize without those downs, those good time up's wouldn't mean so much.
But, for the nerve pain my doctor recommended Cymbalta. He's really a good doctor and monitored my mental state the whole time he increased the dosage. Now I can deal with the nerve pain much better. More so than with the Neurontin,(that made me sick) or other neuro-medications) It was originally made for seizures. He took at away and decided Cymbalta would be tried. Hey I feel a lot better now and have to take less pain medication than ever.
