I'm jealous. I don't want to work hard but people keep bugging me with work stuff. Don't they know I'm trying to post on a vape forum? Whatever lawsuit can wait. I'm busy here people. ;)

Nope - I haven't tried the legendary Bobas either. I need to get myself in order yeah? :) Now that I'm vaping tobaccos it is on the list. I haven't bought much over the past couple weeks. I have A LOT to get through.

After going through a couple of 30mls. of Boba's I finally just got the big boy and almost finished it!

i think with the "good" juices that taste great, sure. I wouldn't call them a chef in the literal sense but someone who has done the guess work, had a theoretical vision/idea for a particular vape, and tried to achieve a goal. I don't think I'd rank Suicide Bunnies at the top, but I'm sure there was a ton of test batches that didn't quite measure up, just like brewing a "craft" beer.

Jen, I would have the third topic be pleasure. Even when you "feed the monkey" with regular cigarettes, some amount of pleasure is derived. It's unavoidable. It releases endorphins. You can't not enjoy it on some level.

Vaping has expanded that pleasure and took it to a whole different level. Certain juices are like a culmination of flavors you've never had the opportunity to experience. Certain vapes are so complex that you get something a little different each time.

Pleasure is also derived from feeling like a kid at Christmas waiting for vape mail. You stalk the mailman. You open a gift (to yourself usually) and you usually enjoy it.

that's a great point that i hadn't really thought of, that there are juice flavors hat you really don't get in food, for example i haven't had a food that tastes like steam co-beaumont reserve " smooth and rich blend of black cherry and almond, perfection only matched in class by a fine after dinner cognac. The smooth, oak flavor fuses with brown sugar before being complimented by a butterscotch exhale that will leave your mouth watering drag after drag. The oak barrels that we age this liquid in have been carefully hand-selected to imbue specific characteristics into this blend" no oak barrel aging in food.

also, there's more to making juice than just adding cherry, lime, etc, they have other things added sometimes to tweak the flavor or smooth it out.

I rolled my own back in the day... Was super cheap. So even with the amount I spend, it's more... but I enjoy this more and I can share what I have... Especially when I DIY.
Back when I smoked, even then I was never a pack a day smoker. The only time I smoked excessively was when I drank. Which was on the weekend. So maybe during the whole week I smoked 3-4 packs.

that was my first true test of vaping, if i could go out and drink a fair amount and still not crave a cig, it worked!
I was close to investing in a super duper metal mechanical rolliing machine to save money, i'm so glad i tried this instead!

But if you think in terms of your health, it's better in the long run. It's just like buying more expensive/better quality food. Yes it's more expensive but it doesn't have the processing, additives or other crap like the cheap stuff has. In the end, it's worth the money.

i agree, and now that i'm edging to DIY really it can be quite cheap. I agree about food too, after all it's what makes you, it's what you live on and what composes your body, nothing to skimp on! I'm willing ot pay more for no rBGH and so on.

I think that is a good broad statement to use. I could see narrowing it down to $700 a year if I had to. In fact when I did the math while considering giving vaping a whirl I figured I could do it at about $15 a week (equals $780 a year)

Oy vey the naïvety

I think that's perfectly possible with DIY!

And, you would be correct on both. They have a different base that is appealing to me. Not all of them, but those two are very nice. I can't say enough nice things about the Full Va. Flake. :p

so describe this to me again? is it straight up tobacco or what?

Good Morning all! Hope you have a lovely day!
Catching up on yesterday's posts, I look into my cabinet and see sooo many juices. Yeah, i have probably spent a lot more on that than smoking, but I have so much to show for it. No dirty, smelly ashtrays either! YUCK!!! I used to toss them outside because I couldn't stand to have it in my indoor trashcan. i was a bit of a hypocrite about smoking, i believe, to some extent because I hated it, but could not bring myself to stop. When i played music for a living I didn't smoke as much, because of the voice thing. Actually, I only smoked when I was drinking (like some people). When i retired, so to speak, was when it started getting bad. I needed something to occupy my hands! i found myself putting one out and almost lighting another.
I am so THANKFUL for vaping. i may chain vape, but a lot of the reason is because it taste's so GOOD! I watched my mother die of lung cancer, for crying out loud, you would think that would've been an eye opener for me then. That was 23 years ago!
Anywho, I'm happier, healthier, and look better than i did years ago. That's proof enough that this is a successful alternative.

agreed! ;)

Hey all, been up for a couple hours getting to know some of my AltCig flavors. I decided to roll out Snickerdoodle, Churro, and Cinnamon Danish. And...unsurprisingly they are all VERY similar. If I had to pick one cinnamon bakery flavor from the three I'd personally go with Cinnamon Danish. The cream cheese element gives it a slightly different profile. Snickerdoodle and Churro are very similar, the only difference being the level of cinnamon. I'm happy to say that none of the three are too cinnamon dominant.

I wouldn't go so far as to call AltCig gourmet, but for the price point and the great customer service I call them a SOLID choice. I don't vape gourmet flavors exclusively - to put it in context I like gourmet food too but I don't eat gourmet food for every meal. It would be too much for my palate.

I will order from AltCig again.

i'll have to try them, i do love the cinnamon roll from alembic vapor labs, it's so nice and buttery and smooth (no diactyl)

I picked up Lavender Ever After a few weeks ago. Been letting it sit while Call Me Vanilla comes of age. I specifically got them to vape together. I LOVE that flavor combo (thought I haven't vaped it yet) - I put Lavender and Vanilla syrups in my morning coffee most days and I refuse to pass up ANY creme brulee with lavender and vanilla notes. I don't care how full I am.

for me the free state lavender was more satisfying, still smooth but not as subtle as AIV tends to be for me

For those who vape 3mg (I do pretty regularly): found a link to this gdoc spreadsheet on Reddit:
https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...N3hMc1RsOGhJVnJoOTU4MnJ5YlE&usp=sharing#gid=0

reddit is so good for making those helpful spreadsheets all the time, here's a good one http://www.reddit.com/r/electronic_cigarette/wiki/supplier_list

If you get that bourbon tobacco one I want a little smidge. Been eyeing it for a while. If not, I WILL GET IT - and send YOU some.

i was about to get that but the 6.95 shipping made me wait, is their juice very flavorful? say more so than AIV?

Expense isn't an issue to me. I have no problem spending money on juices I like. But I have wasted a lot of money on juices that do zero for me. IN the end though..it still wasn't money spent on Virginia Slim Ultralights!

i sometimes wonder if what we smoked determines how strong we like juice, i smoked American spirits/yellow pack and to me a Virgina slim ultra light would have been like smoking air. at the same time some of the NETs i've had were sooo strong, felt like i had smoked a cigar-too strong for me

Omg Sirius I need to pay you for that! Yes em I'd be happy to send you some!

Someone asked me to report on my Ahlusion customer service experience and they were great, they emailed me and are replacing the bottle. They apologized for the problem and said they would send a tracking number when it's available. Couldn't ask for more than that!

I admire you all that like Boba's and Gorilla. Hubs does too but I gag when I smell them. :(

Love that stuff. It unfortunately ruined all the other tobaccos in the house for us. It's her primary vape and I'm stuck vaping up the leftover tobacco on the drives to and from work. And I'm only doing that with the goal of eventually getting Boba's in both the Ecoms we use when driving. Reminds me of Raisin Bran with a touch of Golden Grahams.

Hhhmmmm...being a fellow blueberry fan..surprised you didn't pick up some blueberry vanilla cake. One of the best I've ever had and the best from AHL, besides Mango Lassi.
