I wonder if I am the other lost order?? I ordered on Nov. 4th right after the info on the sale was posted. I e-mailed GV on Nov. 11th asking about it, and was told it would go out yesterday, or today at the latest.. I received NO shipping notifications, and emailed earlier today, and received no response.

I'm not pressed, but I would like to know my order status, and get a reply...

not to be an ....... but they are 2x!! as expensive as one of my fav suppliers and not responding to emails poor ... compunication i was actully going to bite the bullet and order a very very small amount anyways even know there prices r insane but i doubt i will ever order now hopefully they get there stuff in order and staff up on there sales
 
Hello all,

This is the much discussed (despised?) Todd here from Gourmet Vapor, at last trying to explain the delay on our severely under-anticipated sale.

When we decided to start selling unflavored nicotine on our site, we thought a little sale to introduce it might be just the thing. We tried to figure out, based on previous sales, how much volume we would do and ordered from our nicotine supplier (and others) what we thought we would need.

Then, we added the product to the site, sent some e-mails and we were off!

After about four hours we knew we were in trouble... In the end we did six times what we had anticipated.

In order to offer the totally customizable blends we sale, we pay one price; every bottle, from the smallest 5ml to the mighty 500ml, must be hand made. We had prepared to make around 500, you guys, bless your hearts, ordered over three thousand.

Along with that we had obviously ordered far too little unflavored nicotine to fulfill those orders, and had to get that supplier to ramp up production also.

I do not offer this as an excuse, but an explanation. It is nobodies fault but our own that we were so woefully unprepared, and we vow never to let it happen again. As this industry grows, mistakes such as this can be fatal no matter the quality of the products.

As far as the customer service e-mails go, which I do handle personally, I tried to answer them as quickly as I could and in the order received. Having said that, my Outlook in-box still has more flags than the United Nations. I too vow to be better prepared next time.

So, where we are at now... I anticipate that the remainder of the sale orders, particularly those ordered on the 4th and 5th should go out tomorrow.

If you haven't received a shipping conformation by 3:00 PM eastern or 6:00 PM pacific and you ordered on the 4th or 5th, please drop me a line at the customer service e-mail address and make the subject line "E-Cig Reply". Be sure and include your order number in the e-mail.

Again, I am very sorry for the delays in getting these orders to you, and hope you will remain a Gourmet Vapor Customer

First time customer, seen some good reviews and raves on GV. I believe its worth the wait.

do they even have there own forum in the suppliers section to keep track of coupons and such i dont wanna miss another 50% off deal

Once you've ordered from them they will send you an email of any sales. Generally 1 or 2 of us will post the sales here on ECF once we receive the email. You can also go to their web site & sign up.

Mine is on it's way today. I think I ordered on the 6th.

Just imagine how incredibly busy they have been if their orders normally go out in 1 or 2 days!

It was a long wait, but it is almost over now. Well, at least until the steeping step. :laugh: I won't be able to wait though, I'll sample a little before I put it away.

I ordered for the first time during the Big Sale, (360 ml's of unflavored nic of course), received my emails, and was aware of the goings on via Todd's web page and looking at my account on the site. I got my shipping notification exactly when I thought I would, and my stuff should be here soon. Not a negative experience at all, and I haven't even gotten the order yet ( should be here today-ish). Reading Todd's note in this thread makes me appreciate even more that how well I was dealt with. You guys must have been mixing your fannies off to catch up that quick!

I ordered on the 7th & the 7-10 day notice was already up so I expected it some time next week ,but have already received my ship notice 10 days exactly ...so I am a happy camper .

I can't even imagine mixing that much juice even with a LARGE STAFF...lets see if he got 3000 orders & It's day 14 by his count, thats like 200 + orders a day to fill.

I can't even imagine HOW they did it especially all those little 5ml bottles with several ingredients ....can you imagine the drop counting that was going on !! 1-2-3-4 :lol:

POOR guys ...& the phone ringing & emails building up !!

:shock:OMG! They may never offer us another SALE !!:shock:

Update!!!

As I said in my previous post, I talked to Todd on the phone the other day. It was before he posted, but he was very cool about it and assured me my order would go out that day. Unfortunately, I didn't receive a shipping notice that day, but with respect to his post I figured I would wait until 3pm yesterday, and if I didn't get one by then, I would do as he requested and send an email, again. Well, no shipping notice, I was busy at work so I figured I would wait till I got home to send the email. I'm glad I did, because guess what was waiting on me at my door. My original order. Sweet! I tried a couple of the flavors I ordered and sent an email to let him know I did indeed get my order. Apparently, my order was processed and sent out with the 100's of others and whatever confusion or error on their end ended up just being a lack of Status on the website and no emails to me.

So, although I was looking forward to getting the triple order, I have indeed gotten my initial order and alls well that ends well. I never doubted it was a simple problem that would be rectified one way or another, but the lack of shipping notification coupled with the odd status of "Status" on the website had me concerned. Hopefully this thread will comes off as a positive reflection of a great company offering a great product...

Well this was my first time ordering from them as well and I am not happy. Big sale or not. I finally got email notification of shipment on Monday, but still have not received anything. In the meantime in between time I had another shipment sent on Monday and it arrived yesterday. I also placed an order with a different vendor on Tuesday and it arrived today. Now it looks as if I will have to place yet another order for nic from another vendor.Grrrr
