This is the much discussed (despised?) Todd here from Gourmet Vapor, at last trying to explain the delay on our severely under-anticipated sale.
When we decided to start selling unflavored nicotine on our site, we thought a little sale to introduce it might be just the thing. We tried to figure out, based on previous sales, how much volume we would do and ordered from our nicotine supplier (and others) what we thought we would need.
Then, we added the product to the site, sent some e-mails and we were off!
After about four hours we knew we were in trouble... In the end we did
six times what we had anticipated.
In order to offer the totally customizable blends we sale, we pay one price; every bottle, from the smallest 5ml to the mighty 500ml, must be hand made. We had prepared to make around 500, you guys, bless your hearts, ordered over
three thousand.
Along with that we had obviously ordered far too little unflavored nicotine to fulfill those orders, and had to get that supplier to ramp up production also.
I do not offer this as an excuse, but an explanation. It is nobodies fault but our own that we were so woefully unprepared, and we vow never to let it happen again. As this industry grows, mistakes such as this can be fatal no matter the quality of the products.
As far as the customer service e-mails go, which I do handle personally, I tried to answer them as quickly as I could and in the order received. Having said that, my Outlook in-box still has more flags than the United Nations. I too vow to be better prepared next time.
So, where we are at now... I anticipate that the remainder of the sale orders, particularly those ordered on the 4th and 5th should go out tomorrow.
