so i just got the phoenix bottom coil 2.4 ohm for my volt and it is amazing!!
way, way, WAY better than the clearomizer (not to mention standard cartomizers which i will never use again!!) i was using before, not only because no leakage, but also because there's consistent throat hit, you taste the flavor more, and no wicking issues. thank you guys for encouraging me to get it. you couldn't have been more right!
this actually solves the problem of me needing a bigger battery because it gives me what i was looking for. who knew that it had more to do with the delivery system than the batery!
however - i noticed that the juice finishes very very quickly...could that be the ejuice i'm using? or do they use a lot more juice than other cartomizers?
also, i noticed that i make a huge mess when trying to refill it. in my few attempts, half the time, the juice ended up on my hands and all over the phoenix rather than in it. i'm filling it upside down, but that doesn't seem to do a consistent job. also, the syringe starts dripping as soon as i fill it. am i doing something wrong, or do you think the syringe is faulty?
mroutlaw, watched your vid just now. great advice. i will try that trick to get the air out, but i'm still going to have the above issue. any suggestions?
also, i haven't yet tried the apollo (i'm planning on just using a drip tip with that), but i did try the awesome juices that i won from altcig. and let me tell you, their taste is potent! i've tried 3 of the eliquids from the dessert sampler pack so far, but here's my review:
Vanilla Love - nice aromatic vanilla tasteGooey Butter Cake - if i tasted gooey butter cake, this would probably be what it would taste like
Raspberry Shortbread Cookie - good balance between a cakey and raspberry fruit flavor. you really do taste both.
throat hit is great on all of these. i got the 18mg..

also, i got the volt xl battery 650mah, and it makes no difference. i mean, i guess it's just supposed to have better battery life, but you guys were right. it doesn't affect anything else in terms of the vaping experience.

The top coil is more like the clearomizers that smokeless image has, wicks on top, but it seals better and is shaped like a cartomizer. The bottom coil has the wick on the bottom. IMHO, it's easier to clean and there are no wicking issues. So long as you fill it right, it doesn't leak.

Top coil will give you a little warmer vape since the coil is closer to your mouth, but if you get the 2.4-2.6oh, bottom coil, it will be the same. I have both, but find myself using the bottom coil more. I just posted a YouTube on how to top off and fill the bc Phoenix.

I use Tribeca and ocasionally Midnight Apple juices from Halo. The nicotine level is only medium, (12 mg). But both give solid throat hit all the way through. SOmetimes they'll even make me cough if I don't have a drink.

It sounds like you may have a defective syringe if it's leaking juice all over. Did you check to make sure that the needle is pushed on the syringe really tight?

I recently got some altcig juices too and I'm really enjoying them along with the CE3/Phoneix clearos. Great combo!

I agree, it sounds like the needle isn't on all the way. Try screwing it in a little more.

Your cartos were 2.8-2.9ohms, your Phoenix is 2.4-2.6 so you will use more juice. Keeping the volts of your battery constant(in your case, 3.6) The lower the resistance the more vapor, the more juice you will use. The upside of using more juice is you get more vapor and thus more flavor

when i tried pushing the needle in all the way, the juice squirted out completely. i also tried removing the interior silicone ring (someone did a youtube tutorial on that as well) and dripping it in. the juice ended up in a puddle on my desk. wasting so much juice over this. i guess if lower ohms results in more throat hit, then it's worth the extra juice..maybe i should get the larger cartomizers from them. does anyone else sell the same thing, or are gotvapes ones the best?

They are all the same. Gotvapes just works with the manufacturer to tweak them, but I think when they are tweaked, everyone gets them

Are you sure the silicone ring in seated right? If it isn't pushed all the way down with the center tube perfectly in the middle, it can't hold a vacuum.

You can drip into the bottom coil. The juice will come out the bottom. MIT needs to be filled upside down with the cup seal in place to creat a vacuum. Only the top coil can be dripped in

First I would like to congratulate you on making the commitment to be SMOKE FREE! A virtual pat on the back to let you know you are doing whats best for you and dont forget that! My recommendation (I am new to ECF but been vaping for almost 3 years now) would be to step up to the EGO styles. Go with the new ego c batt 600mah or higher and check out the new Vision V2 clearomizers. I trust www.vaporkings.com with my business ( prices a bit little more but never a DOA) This will break that urge to go back to the analog and give you plenty of vapor and TH(throat hit). If you are a fan of mint or menthol please order some pure menthol juice and spice up your juices with some great TH! Stick with vaping its good for us and them whether they get it or not
