Carolina Cantaloupe - 2 week steep time

rda(Tobh), Double boiled organic cotton wick, Dual coil clocking in at 0.7 sitting on a Cronus 26650- A very smooth and mellow vape. A very decent RL cantaloupe taste to it. With air wide open flavor is less pronounced and almost has a watered down taste (think cantaloupe and ice blended into a slushy.) Air half closed/open and the flavor is stepped up a notch as well as the sweetness. This is when I get a very clean RL taste from it.

PT3 with optional AFC base, Double boiled organic cotton wick, Single coil clocking in at 1.3 sitting on SVD. First let me say that I have vaped almost an entire tank and thus far only had 1 dry it. So I am not having any wicking issues thus far. I have found this flavor to be very wattage friendly. For me it seems the higher the wattage the more the sweetness shines through. Once you get up to about 14 watts it starts to take on more of a candyish taste. IMO at around 11-12 watts the flavor profile is about the same as it is in the rda.

Afterthought - I think I am going to do a 1.3 ohm single coil build on a IGO tonight or tomorrow. Then run it on the SVD and see What differences if any there are between the RDA and PT3 running the exact same build.

Thank you Carolina Vapoor, that helps me immensely to hear how you vaped and what you think of each at the different set ups and volts. There is always a sweet spot for a flavor. Thank you for letting me know where it crossed over to matching in the RDA.

I went ahead and bumped the flavor percentages up a few. I left the Sweetness alone. I think it is close to dialed in and looks to be a 4 weeks steep since I added more flavoring. That one is super close. The other flavor I was mentioning that the wife felt was dialed in at the 5 week steep to her-still left me with a touch of light taste to me, so I think it will bump a couple percent as well. Though I am very satisfied with how it turned out and it is something I am not ashamed to put my name on I do happen to know the outcome of this particular flavor and what a couple percent will do it to long term.

Most likely I will add it to the line up tomorrow. I keep saying I will do it tomorrow then i go reload the flavor and it just beckons me to push the percent up a touch. After a couple ml's of vaping it, I say man its fine. Then, go to bed and wake up going, bump it up a touch. hopefully tomorrow is the day.. lol

I can't comment on specific RBAs or RDAs, so I'll leave that to others, but here's an idea:

I know you want to urge people toward dripping and RDAs, but I think with regard to your selection of tanks, you could do better than the evods. I use my evod glasses from time to time because they're small (great for errand running), but I think if you carry just a few tanks, you would be better served by offering Aeros and Nautiluses.

Then include a little bit of text about why you think RBAs and RDAs are an improvement over tanks, followed by recommended starter equipment (kayfun, igo, etc.). From there, you can lead to more advanced equipment.

You don't really need to carry a large selection in any of the categories (maybe two or three items for each) just so long as they are highly recommended and well described. As added encouragement, a full description of exactly how to use them might persuade more people to buy. You can also include links to youtube reviews and how-to's. I think this kind of attention would help in several ways:

1. At the entry level (tanks) you will be providing people a way to enjoy your juices in the best way possible if they don't drip or rebuild. Many people who pick up your juice and, say, an evod will probably say, "meh." Whereas with an aerotank or nautilus, they will definitely appreciate the flavor a lot more.

2. A guided entry into the world of RBAs and RDAs will help those who are bewildered by the array of options out there. New vapers come onto ECF all the time who are interested in something better, but they just don't know what to get or, when they receive it, how to effectively use it. Yes, motivated folks will research and figure it out, but if you take some of the guess work out of the process, you might encourage more people to try it. And having help, right there on the site, on how to use it will keep customers happy. Hand-holding to be sure, but that might be what some people need.

3. With the advanced setups, you could potentially foster some community through comments/reviews. Those comments could then, in turn, help encourage entry-level users to step up.

Like I said, just some thoughts....

Yeah, That is correct. I can only reply in one way to your suggestion. Absolutely correct. I have moved past a certain stage and turned into that guy that knows where to look and did not take the time to even explain it on my site, yet I will rave for 30 minutes to a total stranger out in public about how to progress and get the most out of vaping.

You're right I missed an entire opportunity to help someone and many someones with just directing them to the site. Thank you for bringing this to my attention Count B!

After seeing this I almost went ahead and purchased some.... but I think I will wait to hear your personal thoughts.

Also Heden Aklowd is a fantastic addition to our little circle. There are many from our other beta test thread that I wish would join us here as well.

Anyway, looking forward to your personal reviews on Elfwick - since I feel like I know you guys and how you think. I trust your judgments on the subject.

I woke up to the alarm clock this morning so I don't have as much time as I normally do.
First impression is I like it. It's stiffer so it's easier to work with, use less, wicks great, no added flavor.

The God 180 is a beast. Though I do have my concerns about it. Mainly the fact that I believe the batteries are run in series (ie. stacked.) So you have 3 stacked 18650 batteries in a aluminum box setting in your hand. You will end up with a select few that actually take the time to buy 3 new batteries and label them so that they are used in the same order each time. The rest will look at it as awesome battery life due to it having 3 18650 batteries. They will purchase one, throw 3 random batteries in it and be on their way. Anyone that has done the smallest amount of research on batteries knows that a single faulty cell in a series connection is a recipe for disaster.

Now don't get me wrong. I am not bashing or anything like that. Heck, I know a guy that has a few 18350 batteries that are over 2 years old. None of them take a full charge and the all seem to have a super fast discharge rate in a regulated mod. He will not replace them for anything and it drives me crazy. I have even gave him brand new batteries and they just set on a shelf. His simply says "That is why I use a regulated mod." Batteries can vent in a regulated mod all the same.

Mine should be here Thursday. MY biggest hope for it is in regards to dry burning it. With cotton 1 good dry hit and you have to rewick due to burnt cotton taste. Not that big of a deal in a RDA but a pain in a RTA (especially if you are out and about.) So my hopes are that Elfwick will be more durable (for lack of a better word) when it comes to dry hits. If it wicks the same or better and delivers the same or better flavor as cotton then all the better!

That's why I'm interested. A dry hit on cotton in a tank.... well, it can be quite a waste. If it wicks well and has a higher burn point, it could be a winner.

As soon as mine gets here I am going to wick 1 side of a dual coil with cotton and the other with elfwick. Then dry burn and see if either burns faster than the other. Then I will clean and rewick using cotton on the side elfwick was on and elfwick on the side cotton was on. Then dry burn and make note of what happens. The 2nd go round is just to appease the thought of one coil heating up faster than the other.

I have the Counts approval...All is right in the world!

Hey I ordered 2 packs of the elfwick because I have a couple people that want to try it out as well. I am more than willing to send you some if you would like. I am thinking I could send it 1st class and the cost would only be that of a stamp. If that is the case I would be willing to send a few people a little to try.

Video it maybe? I wanna watch the fire show!

And Idk about the 180s. I would have to charge an arm and a leg for them. And I see your points about the safety.

That is a very kind offer... but if it is as good as the claims make it to be, I'll probably just order some myself. Thank you, though.

Alright guys and gals, new flavor is up on the site.

Limited time for Halloween: Dracula's Kiss. Blood Orange, Black Cherry and a little sprinkle of absinthe make up the main flavors. It reminds me slightly of Holiday Biscotti's but don't let me color your taste-buds. This particular flavor is approved by Sean and my wife. Very odd for all three of us to agree but this one is pretty interesting to say the least. It hits very dry and does eat up coils quickly - just throwing that out there in case you like to know about the quickness of coil crud.

Hope you enjoy it.

RML I may add the second flavor to the site in a bit or push it out till tomorrow. Time will tell.

Oh great...you are going to take even more of my money. Black Cherry is the best. It is my favorite flavor of kool-aid, gum, hard candy, suckers, etc. Oddly enough I have never tried a black cherry flavored e-liquid.

What is the recommended steep time on this one?
