Just got my Green Smoke starter kit in the main yesterday. So far, I'm really liking it. I ordered it on Thursday and made sure I had plenty on analogs around contemplating the 5 to 11 day shipping time that they stated was standard if you chose the free shipping. However it arrived yesterday, so now I have my new e-cig and 7 packs of analogs. I am loving the vanilla dreams flavor. It has a smooth taste and almost has a hint of marshmallow. But at the same time, I will probably have to have some tobacco cartridges around because even though I rinse my mouth out after I'm done, I seem to have this sweet after taste. I have a sweet tooth, but I might need something that isn't as sweet sometimes. I also got the chocolate, absolute tobacco, and the coffee ones. As this is my first official day using an e-cig, I have noticed that I have to keep an eye on the clock or something so I don't take too long of a "smoke break". I have only smoked 4 analogs today. By the end of the day, I may have gone through 5 or 6, but I don't consider that too bad for the first day considering I had a 1 PAD habit. So far, I haven't had any issues with the batteries either. So far, overall I'm happy with my choice.

Congrats & Welcome! Remember you're still achieving success if you are still having some cigs. Everyone quits at their own pace. Green smoke from what I hear is a good brand. I have a friend at work who used those to quit & is still using them successfully! What part of NC are you from?

Welcome to ECF and vaping. Congrats on making the switch, or even if it's not a complete switch yet, the decision to switch. Green Smoke was the first e-cig I ever tried. It's a pretty good brand for the 'cig-a-likes' as they're called and their customer service is great. They can be a bit pricey though. If you find vaping success, you may wish to switch to something more powerful down the road. You'll wind up saving a lot of money too. But my advice is to give the GS a good go for a bit and make sure vaping is working. We all wish you the best and don't hesitate to ask any question about anything vaping here.

Thank you all for the support. I'm still new to vaping, as you can see, but I know I want to quit the analogs for good. They aren't doing me any good and having my daughter tell me every time they learn about drugs in school that smoking is a drug and I need to quit helps me to stick with it. Even though she's only 8, I'm sure that she will see my switching to e-cigs as a step in the positive direction. My hopes are that by the time my son starts learning about drugs in school, I won't be addicted to nicotine anymore. He is 5 and will be starting kindergarten in August, so I have faith that that wish will come true, even if I'm still vaping nic free. Once I overcome the nicotine addiction, then I will work on the hand mouth addiction. I figure one addiction at a time will make it easier to cope with. I'm just happy that I came across this forum last week because I know now that I have a large support group that can help me through this.

I think they are a good company, but I am only judging them on a week of use. I have had no problems with the batteries. They last a while and I find myself having to charge them because I haven't ran the battery all the way down yet on either one of the batteries. The cartridges seem to last a while too. This is the only company I have used and so far I am pleased. Their shipping in the U. S. was very fast. The only complaint I have so far is that they told me that Absolute Tobacco flavor was the closest to normal analog I used (Marlboro Gold Special Blend 100). I honestly think that the creator of the flavor has never smoked an analog in his/her life. The flavor tastes nothing like an analog. In fact, it tastes similar to the seasoning one may put on a turkey or chicken before putting it in the oven. Not a bad flavor if that is what you are expecting, but not the greatest flavor if you are expecting a tobacco flavor.

Hey there! Glad to see your transition is going well! I think you'll find like many of us have already that its nearly impossible to find a flavor that matches what we used to smoke. That's the blessing & curse of this whole thing. I smoked menthols & most of the juice is more mint. I didn't vape them for too long. Did you get any other flavors?

I also got the chocolate, vanilla dream, and mocha. I love the vanilla dream and chocolate so far, but I haven't tried the mocha yet. I am contemplating on trying the other two tobacco flavors they carry at some point in time just to see if they are any different and a little closer. Tobacco Gold is suppose to be closer to that of a cigar and Red Label Tobacco is suppose to have a bold woody taste. Not sure if either of them will be closer. Highly doubt it, but they still might be good. Like I said, the Absolute Tobacco isn't a bad flavor, just not what I was expecting and so far my least favorite of the flavors I did get.

Dragnz - congradulations on your excellent start! I have very fond memories of Greensmoke as it was the e-cig that converted me to a vaper after being a smoker for 37 years. Like others I've moved on to other options, and have turned vaping into a hobby but if it were not for Greensmoke, I'd still be puffing on the stinkies.

I was especially fond of their Red Label and Absolute. Their Gold was pretty good as well. I didn't care for their sweet versions since, at the time, I didn't equate "sweet" with satisfying my need for a cig. Nowadays, I'm more partial to fruit and sweet flavors than tobacco (although tobacco flavors are still a mainstay in my juice bin).

I found Greensmoke's customer service to be excellent as well. They are on the pricy side compared with similar e-cigs, but if it's the one that works for you, it's cheap at 10 times the cost.

Keep it up! You'll be amazed at how much better you'll feel (and how much better you/your house/your car/your clothes will smell)!

Dragnz I was a rollie person and just stopped and switched to e cigs straight away with no problems. My dad did the same. The coughing has stopped and I can taste food again.
The smell is what you notice the most, walking past people who smoke and are puffing away you don't realize just how bad they stink!
Going into town in a bit to the kiosk to get the kit.
