Madvapes is a good place to order. I've bought his 901 with the manual batteries a disposable 510 and the 510 with the mega batteries. He's a great person to deal with (Mark) you may get a free goodie with your order also. Had a problem with a battery on the 901 manual and he sent me a new one free of charge, his juice is pretty good too and very reasonable.

What Kent said. :)

901 gives good flavor but 510 gives more throat hit and seems more reliable. 510 atomizers are generally cheaper and definitely easier to find on sale.

A beginner won't go wrong with Cignot:

Joye 510 No-Box kit for $35.

5ml sample-sized bottles of eliquid for only $3. Try several flavors without spending much money, and get them together with your kit to save on shipping.

I have tried the VG versions of:
B&H (mild, good tobacco taste)
USA Mix ("Marlb", popular flavor with new vapers)
Turkish Tobacco Blended (strong and earthy)
Winston (closest to cig to me, slight ashy taste, good throat hit)

I've ordered from them numerous times and never a problem. Terri and Vicki treat you right.

And Max is right on flavor - esp. the fruits, berries, vanillas, etc. If I want a good Black Currant or Wild Cherry from Decadent Vapours, I'll hook up the 901 adapter or 801 Janty Stick. The 510 heat tends to reduce those type flavors, but it will enhance others. If the 510 didn't exist, I'd have 901's but with adapters now one can experience many different atomizers.

i started with an envy e cig and thought i could get by with it but the carts only held like 3 drops of juice and the battery died long before the cart ever ran dry.
Then i ordered a 510 no box with passthrough from cignot. that was my lifesaver!
i was a 1ppd smoker of KE lil cigars so the transition to the ecig was a bit harder, i felt like even with the 510 i wasnt getting enough of anything when in fact it was just the reverse.
now that my taste buds are working better, things have smell again and i have been vaping for a few good weeks now i can tell you i feel a lot better the house doesnt smell like an ashtray nor do i or my clothes, I have an appetite again where as when i smoked i would eat once a day now i eat and actually enjoy the taste of food again.
now it will take me a while to break evenbecause my old smokes were only 16.00 a carton but all in all i am very very happy with my 510.
My wife who is a non smoker and has Asthma highly recommends the PV.
also i had some i mixed up and was vaping peanut butter cup (starpuffs and PB ejuice)
a big cloud went in front of her and she said God i thought you lit one of your nasty cigars but it smelled so yummy.
i still have a few cigars left in my last pack and i went out to try it and my god was it horrible.
if you go with a 510 get adapters so you can try different attys
good luck with your decision and purchase and i hope it works well for you.
i know mine did.

I was a light smoker as well- so my inital investment WAS more then I would have spent on cigs in two months (ok mayhap more) BUT I've been 2 months without a regular ciggy. I smoked about as much as you did/do. (1-5 a day) But just couldn't kick 'em for good. Vaping has helped. For MY health and happiness the investment is worthwile. As long as you do thourough resurch and don't buy a cheap overpriced e-cig you're eventually getting your moneys worth.

I know you were asking for the coupon list, here it is here
I myself do not care if it looks like an analog, so my 510's are the metallic blue. My wife on the other hand, she has stuff that looks like an analog.
Either one will make a good choice though, once again, you might troll the used threads, and find a good deal on the parts to make a 510, or even a 510 if you want to try it down the road.

All I have to say is that if your hubby quit cold turkey it might get a little ruff when you start and find you love vaping. To many people look at our PVs as a cheaters way of quiting and will give you hell. I have to say I think these people are worst the born agains that say your going to hell cause ya don't go to church 2 to 3 times a week, sorry no sleep yet waiting on the ups man.
But still get ready for the when are you going to put that damn thing down comments, and nice you quit smoking when ya tossing that thing.
Oh and don't forget the ex smoker that will cough when your 20 feet way from them.

You all keep me chuckling. Thanks for all the wonderful comments.

I bit the bullet and decided to order a KR808! Not sure why...I figured I best get started somewhere and it got some good reviews. Plus there is an excellent tutorial, I confess I copied the whole darn thing into my email so I could find it handily!

I do NOT use my pc as often as some of you...so I think a pt would be sort of useless. I figure the thing will sit next to my phone...relatively speaking...and charge up while I sleep. If it goes well I'll order a second battery and more juice! I ordered from V4L, got my sis an extra charger, found a nice coupon on retailmenot cuz I didn't get the post in time. I ordered us each a 5ml bottle of juice, and we qualified for an extra box of cartos, so I'm starting with clove and mint! I'm not too much on all the crazy flavors so I probably won't be very adventurous. My sister said she didn't want to associate smoking with flavors for some odd reason...

So I'll let you know when it gets here and how it goes! I'm really, really excited, I hope I just bought my last damn pack of smokes, really I AM READY TO BE DONE DONE DONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent choice for your first PV! It's done right by me and the cartomizers are less maintenance from everythign i've seen and read. You fill it and go. No need to fill with 3-4 drops every few minutes. Just remember that you'll get different throat hits and vapor production depending on the type of juice you use. As soon as you start to notice a drop in vapor production or a burnt chemical taste it's time to put some more juice in the hole! lol Keep em filled and the battery charged and I think you'll love it. The next step is finding some flavors you like :p that's generally where you spend most of your time and money in this lol I hope it works as well for you as it has for me.

i bought the silver bullet kit, and it cost about 169, that was back in december. since then i have only spent about 50 dollars on juice in almost 3 months. plus i shouldnt have to buy any more for at least 1 month. i was spending at least 100 dollars a month on cigarettes, so my savings was significant already. buying prefilled carts can be more expensive, but are good to start with, then once you get the hang of it, switch to filling your own, and using one of the cartridge modification techniques (i use Auto Drip Mod) and you will save boatloads more, cause then all you have to buy is the juice, and occasionally some atomizers, which are really cheap. add on top of that, you wont get lung cancer. its totally worth it.
