Just ordered one on impulse last night. Decided I wanted a tank with a little more build room and airflow and a velocity style deck for ease of use. Does anyone have one? What are your thoughts? Any little things I should know ahead of time. I am mainly use drippers but have a a few tanks for when I'm driving. Billow v2, cthulhu v1 and lemo v2.

Here's a link to the thread on the Griffin

Geekvape Griffin RTA!

But to answer your question: I have one and it's amazing. Lots of airflow, plenty of room to build (I put 3mm ID Claptons in mine and it was a breeze) and great flavor. I'm enjoying it enough that I will be purchasing another one soon.

hows the flavour compared to a crown tank?
I love the crown for vape production and flavour, but I don't use the rebuildable head on it, just the stock 0.25 and 0.5 ohm heads. Heck, even the ni200 coil it comes with has lots of flavour, which is surprising.

However, I like to have 2 tanks, one being rebuildable. I just sold my STM, so this looks like it will be the replacement for a RTA.

Never used a crown tank, but I love my Griffin. Soooo much better than the Kanger Subtank Mini or the Zephyrus V2. So much room.

The only advice I have is to get a Torx T5 screw driver for the screws in the velocity deck posts. DO NOT use the included allen key, because you WILL round them out. The screws are 2.5mm by 3mm. Someone already mentioned this in the Griffin thread that @jhhollier mentioned.

Also, a lot of people say not to jam the wick down into the juice channels? I do this, because if I do not I get leaks. Maybe I'm just not wicking right, but it works absolutely fine for me. No dry hits, no leaks, even with the juice control all the way open.

@Kandem I agree 100% I own 2 crown tanks & one RBA for them. Bought the RBA as I wanted to try building my own coils & for $10 I thought that wold be the cheap way to go boy was I wrong. I Love my crown tanks but that RBA is horrible I was recommended the Griffin so I think I will be buying one. It will really only get used to test my DIY mixes unless it does end up better then the Crowns

So, I just had to clean my coils (heat then quench method) because I was getting some burnt flavor.
Replaced the wicking, primed the coils and the wicking. Got instant leakage, even with the juice channels closed 90%.

The only solution I can find, is to leave the tails longer, so they go down into the juice channels. Anyone have any advice?

I really enjoy my Griffin. It doesn't have the slight leaking issues between the airflow control and juice flow control that my OBS Crius does.

I trim my wick and place fluffy points down into the juice channels and leave them thicker at the top at deck level. I don't get any leaks or dry hits with 80/20 VG/PG juice. You will probably have to experiment until you find what works for you.

My only con for my tank was the juice flow holes in the chimney don't line up perfectly with the juice channels. Two are wide open and two are only half open. It hasn't affected the vape or performance so I'm not complaining much, but their QC isn't the best. Bought mine from vapenw.com for about $26.

If you spin it left a bit more it will be fully open, i think the milled out section is slightly more reflective at certain points and appears closed when its actually open

Ya know I have to eat crow. I've always slowly opened the juice flow and would stop when two holes appeared fully open. Only the juice channels are wider than the control holes so... yeah... a tiny bit more and all are fully open. I guess my con changes to you can't have all four juice holes equally partially closed but they can be fully open and closed.
