I have had really next to no problems with my protanks, but I have heard many people voicing the many issues that have arisen with them, so I guess you just have to know the possible problems and how to address them.

They are a hazard to an extent, I have had my good things to say and bad things to say about them. Going through $100 a month in coils does not do the trick for me and not to mention they can be a hazard! I have ordered some that were bad right out of the box.

Ok, so I had a bit of a learning curve using the Mini PT2 as I had to make sure the gaskets were not crushed from over-tightening. And the PT3 I got needed a air control valve from the Aerotank. But the Mini PT3's have been solid, not a single problem. If I occasionally pull to hard and get a bit a flooding, I have a quick fix. Sure, if someone would toss me some options to compare, I might change my mind. I am watching (well listening) to his vlog (dork) right now, but a lot of the problems seem to be either user error or it seems like there are lots of fakes out there.
