I just want to jump in and back and say thanks for the egg coddler guess thingy. I have two of these, very pretty and never been used. I got these after my mom passed from her kitchen stuff. I remember once asking her what they were and she said she didn't know. Or, possibly she didn't like coddled eggs? They're too pretty to put in boiling water.

The above looks like a shark chew toy.

aww, I know what that's like. Have a teapot collection staring at me presently.
Betcha she got em from her mother and had no clue either. Had a chocolate pot like that. Didn't learn what it was till I went to hershey park and took the tour. There it was staring at me.
