Great detective work! Class is that a kitchen thingy? It looks like a wood shop thing!
1. Mikes Aunts would grab the mayo maker and whip up some mayo short order! I saw one on E-bay..I may have to bid:)
2.Mike's sister still uses her mother's Pizzelle maker..even those her hubby bought her an electric one. They are NOTHING like the ones in the grocery store..hers are like sweet air in your mouth!
3.While they don't make their own butter anymore, they do get farm fresh butter and heat and pour it into molds for the table.

Not a wok! It's copper BTW and from South America.
Purple you are right! I originally picked one from Tunisia..so beautiful but it wouldn't copy! They make stew in it over an open fire like at a campfire. They are made from clay and break so the glaze helps a lot. The top releases heat but drips the mositure back in the stew..sort of like our crockpots. The stews are made from whatever is onhand and spiced up.
