Oh I may have to try that! I was given some premix mint chocolate chip from Tastyvapor that taste just like andes. Love it, but I'm almost out!
Dave I think my sweet spot for the TPA ry4 double is pretty much:
30% flavor
1 drop acetyl pyrazine per 1 ml
I think my heavy VG use (50-75%) is part of the issue, and as you said above more PG might be a fix
I'm kind of bummed that I have to go so high on the flavor, but hey, it happens from time to time
If a few of us have the same experience Linda may be amenable to producing something more concentrated
for my next mix I'll try 75% PG and see if it makes a difference

I was just going to mix the TPA Ry4 double and was going to ask others for percentages. I like strong flavors as I mix 50/50 pg to vg and am a carto user. Want to mix some TPA Black Honey, do you have any experience with this? Thanks

Mixed at 25%, got strong smell like something was burning, took quick vape and just tasted caramel, well I'll let it sit tonight taste tomorrow. Certainly different from RY4 I had been using. Have a feeling this my take some work.
I admire the patience! I vape right after a hot water bath and return to room temp. It does improve with steeping, but I'm content to vape through that improvement 
If a mix is right, its always good enough for me to vape right away. it only gets better with time. but never goes from crap to great. just great to greater.

Tasted today and it is plain nasty, still smells like burnt popcorn. I wouldn't exactly describe my taste as delicate, I like strong flavors but this stuff at 25% isn't to strong just tastes horrible. Will be making my own.
unfortunately i rave about the RY4 double, so it may be confusing nevertheless lol

Ok, so I made my first DIY and I can't seem to taste it at 20% flavor. I used 15% tpa grape juice, 5% la bubblegum and a drop of ms ts sweetner. Did I over flavor until there was no taste at all? Is that possible? I let it steep for a week. Smells good, but not much taste.
Your opinion as good as mine the difference here is TASTE BUDS and that is what makes DIYing so tough, but I am going to stay with it. It's nice to get starting percentages with new flavor but again the big variable enters, for me it just seems to be trial and error start low and work up. Haven't found great shortcut yet.
