Just My Opinion again.

But I think that you should have Thicker Skin if you want to start a thread about advocating Federal Gun Restrictions in the USA. Especially on an e-Cigarette Forum. And Especially if you are Not an American Citizen.

Just Say'n.

:)

Ok, but when comments are made like that i'm not offended, i'm just concerned that everyone will read it and believe it, especially if they don't know Katmar or whoever. And it's usually why arguements start. It's about being made to look bad in front of lots of other people. When it simply isn't true.

It's just the Risk One Takes when starting a Thread like this. Kinda a Heat and Staying out of the Kitchen thing.

I've know Katmar for a Long Time. Have read Many of Her Posts and find them to be Pretty Excepting of Divergent Views. She Isn't one to Lash Out at members for No Reason.

I'm pretty sure she thinks she has a reason to lash out at me. But this thread, out of the blue, i've been roasted for doing stuff like posting random comments out of the blue having not posted in a thread before. But it doesn't matter to me, at all !. Based on what you're saying though. Sounds as though Katmar can go on doing it forever. I haven't spoken to her for at least a month maybe longer. Should i expect her to just keep popping up , making derogatory comments towards me, then leaving again, knowing she thinks it's ok because everyone who knows her knows she wouldn't do it unless she has a reason ?. If she has or had a reason, the licence to make those derogatory comments has long since expired.

I've found that "Thread Spillover" is Extremely Pervasive on internet Forums. And the More Controversial the Threads, and the More Heated the Exchanges, the Greater the Spillover can be.

I didn't think much of what Kat said. Or saw it as that much of a Slam. Because I think in some ways this Is a Troll Thread. And the Simple Intention that were presented in the 1st Post cancelled a Deeper Agenda.

But then again, my Tin Foil Hat could be on Too Tight. And what does it Really Matter what I or Anyone Else thinks?

I see all this as just Another Day on an Internet Forum.

The issue with gun control which i brought up has had some rubust responses. But not to try to complicate matters further i would like to repeat something i mentioned in a previous comment :

My concerns related to this subject are purely based on a "humanitarian point of view".

This thread was in no way intended to be or become a trolling thread in any way. But so often is the case that people will read things into the text which aren't there or they simply overthink it then post without a second thought.

I've been a member here for three years. I can say now that i didn't create this thread to gather information from gun owners for some anti gun campaign, i dunno !, i'm lost, i've no idea what that guy was talking about at all, none, NONE !.

These types of comments are what turn this thread into something it was never intended to be. All i can say is that member is being ridiculous.

Maybe you're saying that this thread attracts trolls when you say "I think in some ways this Is a Troll Thread". That wasn't my intention either. I never intended to attract any trolls or troll comments. If this forum is infested with people who, when they see an opportunity to turn and twist a thread around just by making ignorant comments, then that's exactly what they'll do, and they do their level best to burn it down. An open window for opportunists, chancers, systematic from my point of view. A bit like having a house party and having it crashed and you house gets burned down. These crashers just come in, crap everywhere, then leave, leaving me looking stupid.

This isn't the first time this has happened to me. I've been completely misunderstood before and all i was doing was something perfectly innocent. But typical they all stuck together and were totally convinced of their own selfrightiousness, and they still are.

If non gun owners are afraid to enter this thread, which i'd understand, then really most of the comments i'll be recieving will be from pro gun members.
But that is not an excuse not to be civil to me, and then blame me for their trolling exploits which, yeah, turns this thread into a trolls thread. If they choose be uncivil that is clearly their choice entirely, and in no way is it because of anything i have said.

People are responsible for their own actions. And there is no point trying to blame their own behaviour on someone else, namely me.

I take full responsibility for what I said. It's a fact that you came into the Outside and trolled and stalked in almost every thread you posted in. Now, as a result of that, you are banned from the Outside. In this thread, you trolled the Pro gun people after you reeled them in. Notice that most of them have left because they saw through the ruse.

I believe YOU need to take responsibility for YOUR actions and words, but I have yet to see you do that. I will admit you are a bit tamer here in the Lounge, but, people can see through that if they are really reading your posts.

I own a gun, but I am not PRO gun NRA happy. I believe in regulations, but I don't see how locking every single gun up in a safe where it's difficult to access in an emergency is the answer. I believe in CC, but not OC, merely because we would have problems telling the good guys from the bad.

So, now I will leave you and your little thread and your judgemental attitude towards gun owners. Have fun with that. Especially when you are not even a citizen of our country.

I got locked out of the outside because i suggested in the "Damn" thread that "the Outside forum should be closed down". And i was derecting that comment to SJ, not anyone else. Before i knew it it was closed down, exclusively to me,. So i asked for it.

Again just to remind you Katmar. It was nothing to do with interactions between me and the resident trolls of the outside forum for my departure from there. You lot pounced on me from the start in the "Damn thread" and you'll never let it go and probably never will.

If you haven't read through this thread i'd like to point out that there are plenty of countries who interact with each other on a humanitarian level, plenty. My interest in the gun laws of America is focused on a humanitarian angle where the population who don't own guns have to live with those that do. My concern is for them, not people like you.

When i get attacked by your little posse for no good reason, relentlessly, tirelessly and for months on end, my only response is to defend myself, relentlessly, tirelessly, and for months on end. And that's all that happened between me you etc.

So, you own a gun, you'd use it to defend yourself, right. That's ok.

Thing is Katmar, and i need you to take notice.

ALL I EVER DID IN THE OUTSIDE FORUM WAS TO DEFEND MYSELF.

But you don't like that do you.

But it's ok for you to defend yourself though isn't it.
There is nothing judgemental about this thread or my comments herein. The only judgemental comments are from those who turned this thread into a troll thread. You can keep making comments and continue to make it look worse, but it isn't me or anything i've said.

If members wish to make comments then they should take responsibility for those comments and not say those comments are there because of what someone else typed.

    You're being ridiculous, again !.

    Case in point :

You could have just asked me why i got locked out of the Outside Forum. But typically you made a decision to try to make me look bad again by inventing detremental things about me. And this is exactly what i'm emphasizing about your interactions with me.

But why would you want the OUTSIDE to be Closed Down?

If I don't like a Radio Station's DJ's, or the Music that they play, I Don't listen to that Station. I don't go around suggesting that the Station should be Closed Down.

I have a friend in New Zealand who says they live happily and peacefully w/out guns.

I have a double barrel Rossi mounted above my back door, I live in the middlle of nowwhere in the woods bordering hundreds of miles of national forests. Lots of critters pass by here, including a lot of bears, but there are plenty of copperheads and water mocassins as well, and I did have to shoot one that kept coming onto my porch.

So, I do own a gun but I really haven't had to use it for much.

I have a friend who is a champion martial arts expert, and all I gotta tell you is that if he gets close enough to you his reflexes are about 100x sharper than most everyone else, and he will *disarm* you in a coupla seconds. We've tried this out with some ex military guys who thought they were real "tough" but the martial arts guy won every time.

I wasn't being serious. It was just another response to the "Damn" thread where SJ was asking for suggestions for changes to the rules. And when i got locked out, i did laugh !.

To be perfectly honest i do find it very difficult to find things to talk about with most members here. It's because most threads are orientated around whatever is going on in the place where you guys live. And most of you come from America. So i tried opening a gun thread, and it slowly but surely turrned into something i never intended. So again still trying to interact with the American community of ECF but failing miserably.

We simply aren't on the same page.

Practically every famer in the UK is a registered shotgun owner. And i don't have to travel far to hear those guns going off when they are out shooting whatever it is they shoot.

Sorry, I'm still laughing at the rugby comparison. :p

NFL football is simulated warfare. It's why we love it and why no other country's sport comes anywhere near it. Rugby is running around while huddling. Yeah really. Maybe it's why we're so good at combat, and ya know, saving countries like yours.

By the way we tried one of those rugby stars, Jarryd Hayne... got sh!tcanned after one season with the Niners. There have been a few unnotable others.

I would imagine 1000's of upcoming "American" American football hopefulls have been, how you said, "Sh!tcanned". I suppose if they're American they don't count though. So how many American "unnotable" others are there ?.
Soccer is the biggest most popular sport in the entire world, huge in fact, HUGE !. And i'm not a fan of that either.

Soccer: kick ball 200 feet to another player. Repeat process four times. Last player takes a 300 foot shot at the net. 25 seconds later ball falls into the arms of the goaltender. He kicks it 200 yards to a teammate. Process is repeated in the opposite direction. Five hours later the game ends nil nil. Goes to a shootout. Visiting team wins. Fans stampede, 11 fans crushed to death. Next game is Saturday at 7:30PM.

Don't have the time or interest to do any googling for you. Sorry, that's an American term that means "looking up on the internet", using an American company's search engine.

Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off for some range time with my Glocks and 1911's.

Evan, it seems like you are putting a lot of thought into a problem that you have very little knowledge on (you said guns aren't allowed in the UK yet a quick google search will show you otherwise. You need a FAC license for anything over 12fpe, which includes .22's. .22's are by static, the most often used weapons in gun crime and are a favorite of the mafia), won't have any impact over and doesn't affect you in anyway. Rather than focusing on gun laws in a country you don't live in, have you considered spending that time doing something that may actually make a positive impact in someone's life?

Those in the UK who aren't fans often refer to Soccer as "kiss chase". And like you said, completely pointless.

But it is by far the biggest sport.

I'm thinking, if there were no periodic guns amesty and guns were allowed here then i'm pretty sure any so called terrorists walking about round these parts would, in no time at all get their heads blown off. In a country such as yours i would expect things like this to be happening everyday. For a nation which is so well prepared on a domestic level to protect themselves i haven't heard of any civilians chasing after terrorist and shooting them down. Guns in your country are to show off, fun and amusement, oh and not forgetting scaring the hell out of the wife and kids, who, i've no doubt, live in constant fear, SIR !.
