FJ, dont know where north jersey is exactly, but send me your address and I will go and check in the post office how much it is to send you a gift. I have a multimeter (hape) wich I hardly ever use. Its a very small device, so shipping will not be outrageous. Up to you, you will have to cover that shipping bill afterwards, let me know

OK, so I managed to get it built. Who needs sleep, right? I put it on my paps v3, my only mod with a 20x1 connection atm, and...it has more gap than Michael Strahan's smile. I don't see a way to get the pole shorter, so I guess I need to find something that telescopes? I know the answer lies in this thread already, and I have probably read it 100 times, and I probably already mentioned the answer...
Ahh well.

Some seconds later before hitting POST...Nemesis pin pretty well fixed it...

Tasty, cloudy, crackly.

Would it be a waste to own this atty when I only have a MVP2, or will it be alright?

Or should I get a mech mod first? ahhhhh.

It won't work on an MVP2 as it screws on natively to the mod, that means you take the 510 topcap off and screw directly into the tube. It should work on most 20/1 threaded tube mods but if you really want one put it on a GUS to be sure of compatibility.

Ah .... well I don't think buying a mod for 1 atty would be worth it (yet, lol).

Gap on the paps v3 with a Nemesis pin:

And a pic of the pin:

There is about a 1mm gap. The previous battery had about half that. It's far from a perfect fix, but it will work until I get my Gus KISS. Fileing it down would allow it to fit flush, but variance in battery length would make shorter batteries unable to make contact.
I can't believe I completely drained an 18650 with the Estia and didn't notice anything until the battery was at 2.5 v.

sent from my magical brick

With a hybridized atty at least one end must be telescopic to flush fit and avoid battery rattle. Either the POS is a tele-pin or the Mod is telescopic.

Give the varied dimensions of the same brand of batteries, not to mention different batteries, it'd be a royal Pita to flush mount such attys unless you add a tele pin.
