Very nice review qorax . I enjoy you attention to details when posting them. I want one, after reading this review it sent me off on a good 45 minutes of looking at Gus mods stuff.

I could not help but notice your lovely moldings in the home as well. If you need someone to remove that wall paper and what looks like texture ceilings let me know. :)

And I am so sure you'll love it, that if you don't I'll trade ya me Erli for the Estia. :D

I got mine yesterday...and that won't be necessary :). To give you an idea of how my first impressions went, after using it for a couple hours I ordered a second estia, 2 fatty tanks (kiss and lord), 2 drip tips (ditto), and a mod (kiss) and I had previously ordered the lord mod clone.

<shakes my head> I definitely have to hit the vape gear brakes for a bit (well... after the erli nano tank is back in stock :)), but I just got my bonus, so we'll just file it under 'a small present for myself' :).

umm, okay then, well, hmm, well let's just say buyer remorse sets in, and you do change your mind, will extend the trade offer, just in case:D

yeah, had to highly restrain myself not to order another Estia. It's a daily battle I must admit. I just feel bad for Erli, she just not getting much use since Estia entered the arena. Or something like that.

Finally...such a solid atomizer. I'm getting a Aiolos dripper, since it's the only one that looks decent... is it dead on 16mm?

But I'm having a hard time convincing myself just to get a 510 conversion kit for my estia.. I think I need another. I mean..I doubt my kiss qe will ever have it's 510 top cap on it..so the estia I have now is spoken for.

The question is:

Polished or matte?

I already have a polished estia, and the kiss qe tank is matte..the polished estia works really well with the kiss qe. The top cap(which I lose running it as a hybrid) and lock ring are polished accents on the mod..

So how dapper will the original kiss tank look on the matte vs polished estia? I guess that is the true question..someone show and tell me

I hear ya K. Seriously. Feel the Fatty tank is a must buy, but yeah, #2 would have to be totally diff, so can easily tell them apart, at a glance and experiment with diff builds without any confusion, make for easier performance tracking. :D

Umm, just trying to be as helpful as possible. I went with the Matt, which is shinny enough to be mistaken as polished. But then I really prefer tank systems without the logos and all SS. But since Gus does it merely for artistic and extra personal touch, a second Estia, would give all the options a much more thorough consideration.

I just have to many exceptional set ups to justify a second Estia. And will have to wait till a potential challenger hits the radar. Do feel though, that a tri-coil set up like the Estia, is most likely the most efficient and optimal multi coil configurations. Quads are more pain for little gain, duals are great and can almost match potential, but for coil to wick coverage, and maximizing vape potential safely, this is tough design to beat. Some room for fine tuning/customizing, but not much. Well at least for the way and style I build for. Reminds me of the rotary engine for some reason:D

Hmm, well still on me training build with Estia, it's vertical, 26 kantal, ramie fiber wick, and have some Mad eye's pumpkin juice in it, and I'm thinking its real close to 0.2 ohms, I'd say +/- 0.04, but yeah, not messing with it, and have just been doing fine tuning on the wicking, and me 510 base cap should be here later today. So can get an actual build read on it. But Tastes good enough to me, and most likely tastes better than yours., but meet me round the corner, just across the border, and we can vape it out. :D But for an horizontal build, that does look interesting fer sur.

3rd build...I just can't get the third coil.. it's either leading or..inducting?.. oh well...this 0.2 build is doing well.. even with the fuse... haven't measured voltage though..

....oops...lol I thought I to pictures of everything..but somebody just came over, so ADD moment.:)

I tried Japanese cotton...I still get better results from a nice and consistent piece of rolled cotton. (I should start selling it... I'll call it "Cotton prime rib." $2 less than the competitor, that does the same thing. :)

Got the lovely cosmic fog shocker "up in here..up in here."

^have you tried cellucotton? I like japanese cotton too, but it can take a bit longer to 'break in' in my experience... whereas cellucotton seems good to go from the start, is also super cheap, wicks way better (than cotton) and tastes better (than cotton) IMO (but like japanese cotton, it doesn't expand like 'traditional' cotton so it has to be wicked a bit snugger... which requires additional caution not to disturb the coil or you'll introduce hot spots, etc.)

...but if you get it right, they will drink like a fish and let all of the flavor come through.

Yeah...I got my 500 foot box around May-june..don't like it.

I'm fully satisfied with rolled cotton...don't notice a break in period hardly at all with it, my juices are clean, and I rewick when I change flavors..

And I don't think the estia needs any help with wicking..imnsho

I'm having an issue with the juice control... even though it's perfect tightened all the way down..

It seems that the wick tails are pulled out of the channels.. more than likely from loosening and tightening it back in to dial it in...or my tails are being pulled up when I take chimney off to inspect it...

But I get dry hits if it's loosened more than like 1/4 of a rotation..

hmm, I had to pull some fibers from the channels twice, and then just pushed the extra up around the coils. Still need to remove some since I have to open up full throttle. Have experimented a little with popping the top cap a tad, so that the top air holes are exposed, and must say, it does open the juice gates. Although at 0.25 ohms Estia is quite the juice guzzler.

I was actually thinking of removing all the fiber from the channels for a test drive. Thinking it would work with the vert's I have installed. I don't have Estia dialed in purrfect yet, but she's vaping so well that not worth the bother yet, been on the same wick for 2 weeks now, so will probably dry burn and re-wick tomorrow.

Hey my eri esti exchange is still open:D

^ sounds like too much cotton in the channels?

I'm not using cotton, but I've got everything tightened fully (chimney/top cap) and I haven't run into anything resembling a dry hit (only been a week, but I've been chain-vaping these like a crazy person at .2/.3/.4 with 0-1 airholes closed).

I've got mine wicked between erli-wicking style (only a little wick in the channels) and my old kayfun wicking style (wick directed toward, but not in, juice channels). It's been perfect.

@dice: lol, you gotta change those wicks... please take a picture when you do, because 2 weeks at that usage level has to be 'interesting' looking by now :).

I've tried wicking like a fogger, aqua, and even the way qorax has it in the OP..but exact same results with juice control..

But I can confirm it will work without having wicks in the channels...when I was trying to get my tank to just pour out, I left all wick channels empty, and wicked how I wick kayfuns..covering channel, not filling it..

I'm doing a vertical tomorrow..getting old I guess...didn't even fall. I fastplanted off a quarter pipe the other week weird, and my leg is still messed up. Lol

I guess I'm going to have to get a 510 conversion for now...I want this on my IPV..
Edit- this picture shows the estia is a gift from the heavens, obviously.:)

Well, gee, thanks for the input, but you seriously don't understand. I don't use cotton, haven't for about a year. Cotton doesn't wick well enough, degrades quickly, but works well for cleaning threads and contacts' Only used 3 balls before I went to degummed hemp fiber. Used that for some time then migrated to Ramie fiber, almost exclusively. And 2 weeks actually is a short period of time for me, frak on vert's usually get a month or two before service is required. Have Estia at 0.25 currently.

Heck, 2 weeks on ramie, I'll just pull it out, rinse with hot water, wring out water, the re-saturate with juice, pull off any scruffies, and slap her back in. Way I figure it, why waste a perfectly well seasoned, and broke in wick, it would be like, yanking genies every 2 weeks and putting in new mesh. Yeah, that ain't gonna happen either.

Here's a pic of some ramie and a coil that put in 60 days of service on the Rose2, Was twisted 28, weighing in at 0.37 ohms, pushed at 5.5 volts actual.
