I guess it's not surprising. From what I've read, huge advances in battery technology have occurred in recent years, and more are expected in the near future. It's going to be great for vapers, apparently.

I only have the VTC 3 to compare it to, so not sure how it stacks up against the 4. But yeah, it is pretty amazing how they stuff so much extra life into the same sized battery! I also chose the VTC 5 for my Protovapor XPV, so between that and my Hana, I get vape for days!

Congratulations on the new Hana!

I keep KFL+ toppers on mine -- that is, until yesterday. Not to go too far off topic, but the last four builds, using a rayon wick, was giving me dry hits. Never had that problem before. Took off the Kayfun and put on an Aspire Nautilus with the same juice, and everything was good again. The juice was a 67PG/33VG mix. I'm thinking the juice may for some reason be too thin for the rayon.

Never used Efest before, but I'm hearing so many good things about them recently, I'll have to give them a try.

IMO, don't use an efest battery in your Hana. I've never heard anything but bad things about them. Again, Just my .02 pence.

I use rayon for wicking my Tugboat, and it's great...but I'm also vaping 30pg/70vg juices that are meant for dripping. I don't know anyone that's used rayon for wicking outside of a drip build, but I'd say the high PG content of your juice is the likely culprit for that.

I'm purely basing the above on gut instinct, and could likely be completely wrong, so take all of my babbling for what it's worth. ;)

Just a followup to the skin discussion. Received my clear carbon wrap from Jwraps a couple of days ago and applied to my new blue authentic Hana Modz v3 the next day. It has changed since the one I ordered for my red one a couple of months ago. The red one fit perfect and had creases in all the right places. It permitted me to remove the back panel. The problem on the new one is the bottom piece. It is one piece and would require me to remove or damage it if I remove the panel. Not sure why they did that. Of course, I don't anticipate removing the panel, but if the battery ever dies and requires replacing, I'll either have to buy a new skin, or remove the bottom piece which I assume won't have remaining adhesive enough to put it back on.

I ordered from Vapor Skinz. I decided not to use it, because I either royally screwed up the installation or it wasn't cut exactly correct. I lined up the front screen perfect and when I went to wrap the rest around the side, there was still about an 1/8 inch gap down the entire body exposed. The very top piece wasn't perfect, either.. I may try one from jwraps, I'll think about it. I love the feel and look of the raw body.

On another note, here's my new black KayFun lite clone from EHPro. Don't mind the dust on the Hana, I didn't notice it when I took the photo.

I tend to agree with your advice on the efest, but I had been hearing so many good things I was led to reconsider. Glad I'm not the only one a little nervous about them.

I've read lots about people having good experiences with the rayon in the Kayfun, for example. In other builds it works fine. Only the 33pg/67vg creates a problem.

It permitted me to remove the back panel. The problem on the new one is the bottom piece.

Thanks for the headsup. I have a white carbon fiber wrap coming from Vapor Skins and I'm wondering if it will have this design too. I've heard that you can just take a blade and cut along the seam so you can remove the back panel, but that's sorta lame. I have seen a few wraps with a 2 piece design on the top and bottom that allows for panel removal, but it honestly looks kind of bad with all those little seams everywhere that don't really line up perfectly.

See! People on both sides of the issue. Some say Efest are great batteries, and some say they suck. My biggest concern is that they not explode. If safety isn't an issue, I think I'll give them a try.

i don't know what you guys have been reading but these purple Efest batteries are great. I have one in my Hana v3 and my clone and couldn't ask for better

Pocket:

Let me know what you think of the Vapon Skins. I'm definitely looking for an alternative to JWraps.

I'm usually not very good with those kinds of tasks, either. The Jwraps does apply easily, I'll give them that much. Unfortunately, I don't care for the design of their template for the v3.

Mykereid, I'll post it up here once it gets here. I'm pretty handy but trying to attach a film over an iphone or mod gets my hands shaking every time.

The bottom piece from Vapor Skinz is 2 pieces. Clean tweezers or a long fingernail may help with the bottom backplate piece; It's very tiny.

My V3 arrived today and it's perfect. Threads are good. Every atty I own sits flush and fires. Inside is nice and clean, despite the machining marks. And the screen is straight. I'm really happy I scored one without any issue...except she's a fingerprint magnet! Here's a pic. with the Castle RDA and some Naples hills and the Mediterranean Sea in the background.

Oooohh, that's purdy. :D

I don't see anyway around it. Without a skin, this thing would run me crazy with the fingerprints.

Congratulations!

Hey mykereid, as a follow up, I spoke with a buddy of mine who champions rayon as if it were a gift from the gods and asked about your issue and he said rayon isn't so great with absorption with thinner liquids. He said if you're using a 50/50 or higher vg ration juice you'll be fine.

I know you mentioned that issue awhile back but I at least wanted to follow up on it. ;)

Thanks FstopFive (nice nick -- what cameras?)

Glad you got another opinion. It's really the only juice that has failed me on the rayon. Almost everything else I have is 50/50, but I bought a few thinner juices from Mr. E-Liquid a few weeks ago. I've been impressed with a couple of their juices, recently. Seems as long as I remember to use them with cotton, or in a carto I'll be okay. I also recently bought some organic cotton pads (couldn't find KGD, but instead got Shiseido). I'll try them with the thinner juices and see how that goes.

Thanks, again.
