not to bad tonite cold here. stainless steel is always better but as it has been said they are more expensive. soo it would be totally up to what you want verses what you can afford to pay but i agree with the anodized aluminum.
Hi reddhot, how are you doing this evening... see you decided to stay clear of the aluminum vs stainless conversation... I wish I could do the same.

We have looked into translucent colored glass and it is something that we are very interested in doing.

The only issue there is, the colored glass will require a different cap size. At this early stage of our business we are unable to invest in two different cap sizes. The prices of the caps go down when ordered in a larger quantity and we are just not at the point that we can afford to split our order into two different cap sizes. We are hoping to be there soon however.

Our biggest priority as far as investing in the development of new products are the glass drip tips. After that is complete the next move will likely be to move forward with the tinted glass!

As for the aluminum or stainless, I agree I want the stainless, but I do not want a product that is priced so high that we get stuck with several hundred caps that no one is going to buy. So I am hoping others will chime in and say they want them too, if/when that happens and I know there is an interest, we will move forward quickly.

I know I hate asking and I sound like a broken record, but the review page is a really nice tool for us to let people know what others think:

I'll gladly leave a review. I just put the tank to use so after I use it for a day I'll write something up. :)

Take your time. I like when people leave reviews, but I much prefer they do so one they have really gotten to know their tank!

40 right now with rain but we have a weather advisory right now with sleet then snow comming an snow all day tom. so not any where near your cold weather! brrrr

I'm taking a guess you are on the east coast only because I know others on the east side of the country are expecting that weather. You would be surprised, but assuming you are on the east coast, your 35 to 40 degree day feels about as cold as our 15 - 20 degree day! It is the lack of humidity here that makes the cold less cold!

I'm in a blizzard and my tank hasn't come yet, I hate Illinois USPS, everything takes one extra day!!!:evil::evil:

I'm sorry, we mailed out six tanks that day and they have all been delivered. Someone even got one yesterday! I not a big fan of the USPS myself and now they are raising prices on First Class mail on the 22nd to boot!

Checked your tracking and at least it is in Illinois! Says it was supposed to be delivered today.

Well I reckon I'll put my :2c: in. I'd really like the ss caps, you get quality when you buy quality. Like you I have read about alum not being good for vaping ejuice and I'm sure one day we will know more, but for now as a business aspect I can understand your concerns and precautions.

Can't wait for the glass drip tips. Once your business is booming the color tanks (purple and blue plz) would be great. I don't even have my tank yet and I know that I will definitly recommend your tanks.

It's cold here (27 deg. & dropping) and snowing. Our first snow of the season.
I put in a 13 hr. day and am now home relaxing, vaping on my new Orion that arrived today, drinking a hot toddy, wrapped in my favorite blankie  and dreaming about my new Phiniac tank :) .

On the caps, between Aluminum and SS I'd have to vote Aluminum. Not complaining (much), but relatively speaking the fancier glass tanks are already in "luxury item" territory. Aluminum would minimize the hit.

But honestly, I can't vote for either because what I really want is Brass. :) That would probably be more than aluminum, but I can't imagine it being as expensive as SS.

Personally I'm happy to pick up a set (or two or three but I digress) of the stainless. Yes it's a touch more expensive in the short term but consider...

* As you say, the stainless will pretty much last forever - others, not so much

* No debate over using stainless steel with juice

* Stainless would match my mod just a bit more :) ...

Well .. actually .. there is.

If you wanted to offer a SS cap that was controversy free, you would have to go the route of Surgical Grade Stainless Steel ... but now you're talking big bucks!

There might be a way around the prohibitive cost, a good person to talk to on this subject would be Zen~.

... but you didn't hear it from me.

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think you can have brass in any tanks because it is not corrosion resistant plus if often has some lead in it that may leach out......
