Hi, I've been vaping for a few months and up until now I haven't had a single issue with my 510. But a few days ago I noticed that the draw was getting much harder. I thought it was the new atty's i bought so i switched for some older ones and...same thing. Opened up an even newer atty and still....same thing.

Then I noticed that along with the hard draw the vapor was becoming cold, thick and dry. And not as much flavor as before. So i tried multiple combination's of atty's, batteries, carts and different e-juices. To no avail.

I was wondering if anybody else has had this problem before and has been able to pinpoint the problem. Any help would be oh so greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Where are your liquids being stored and by what means? If they are in a warmer place degredation can be causing the problem depending on how old they are but most liquids stored properly tend to age and get better. Is there PGA in the mixes this could also break them down over time. Also the atties although new could be a different brand if you got new ones and are just starting to use them. Many different variations to it and more info could help.

I store my juices in a drawer next to my computer. It's always normal room temperature. Never too hot or cold.

I don't know what PGA is but I've tried straight PG liquid and 50/50 PG/VG mix liquids.

I ordered my atty's from alt smoke. The same place i got my 510 months ago. So, unless they switched suppliers (which may very well have happened), they should be the same brand.

I'm happy to supply more information if it gets me closer to a solution. :)

Thanks.

The juice storage sounds fine so I dont think that is the culprit. Atties are changing everyday and there has been a little loss on the QC from the atties as of late. Most come or originate from overseas and there was a bad batch not long ago. Not saying Altsmoke is the culprit in fact they are a great supplier with a stout reputation. If at all possible try to get another atty and see if maybe it will improve for you and could eliminate the problem so you know. Ive seen bad batches of atties and had my dealing with the same issue. Kinda like all things with occasional batches just like the Toyotas.

How do you go about cleaning your batt? I've tried multiple batteries. Even the brand new one that came with my sit and go passthru i got two days ago. Same thing.

And I've thought about the whole taste buds thing before. It's not just the flavor though, the vapor has become thick too. And when i say thick, it almost has a texture to it. I know that sounds crazy, but it's what I'm experiencing.

Some juices over time do get better and the thicker vapor could be a result of that. The taste buds are tricky also and if vaping the same thing all the time you do lose taste for it. If you tried even a new battery and its the same as the old ones I wouldnt worry but if you clean all the threads with a qtip and some alcohol it could help a tad there

I cleaned the threads on the batts a few minutes ago and all that did was make it screw on smoother. lol.

I also just did a complete overhaul to double check everything. Fresh, cleaned battery. Clean atty, primed. Clean cart, filled from bottom to top with syringe. The atty is actually an older cleaned atty i have, one that did not come in the latest batch of suspect attys. Still the same stiff draw.

I have another clue to add. I'll take 2-3 draws then take the cart off and it looks like there's no sign of juice. Even though i just filled it from bottom to top. Maybe there's a wicking issue here. I'm not sure though. Never had a problem with it.

*EDIT* - Though i just mentioned the possibility of a wicking issue, I totally forgot that all this happens even when i drip. So, disregard the cart deal.

I've also entertained the issue of taste buds getting "immune" to certain juices if vaped for too long. The thing is that i'm constantly switching juices to prevent that. Here's my main vape inventory...

Good Prophets Camel - 24 mg, PG
Good Prophets Winston - 24 mg, PG
FreedomSmokeUSA Cappuccino - 24 mg, PG/VG mix 50/50

I rotate between these fairly often. The Camel is a very subtle flavor while the Winston and Cappuccino are fairly strong. I've tried all three and it's the same deal. I've also tried an 18 mg 50/50 cherry cola and a 24 mg 50/50 Mt. Dew. Still the same.

I've got to head off to work. Keep the suggestions coming and I'll check replies when i get home later tonight.

Thanks everybody.
