What setup are you using? What level nicotine? Most I get is a stronger hit due to a well saturated coil. The more you use it the less juice that gets to the coil and vise versa. I would recommend either a lighter nic or more airflow to help out with the harshness. You DIY or buy vendor juice? Hope this helps.

Im using the Sigelei 150w TC. For the tank it is the Horizon Artic V8 with the kanthal coils. As for the juice I order from MT Baker at 3 mg nic and 100 vg. I have the air flow maxed out.

It doesn't seem to make a difference what tank or mod i use. A friend of mine has the same issue and they use a dripper. Do you suppose im trying to im trying to heat the coil too fast without a warm up peroid?

Maybe try doing a quick prime on the coils? I've taken to doing that with my tanks that have been sitting for a while. I'm running MT Baker 80%VG juices for the most part and haven't had problems. Perhaps their max VG juice is just a little to thick to wick quickly. Don't know why that would affect a dripper unless he was starting off with dry-ish coils..

Yeah... If I had 8 coils to feed, I might do some primer puffs.

op: How many watts are you using? Perhaps drop it below 50 for the first couple pulls and then ramp it up to it's usual (what about 100-110? More? )

Cheers

Ive noticed mine is pretty rough first thing in the morning.... I now take a few "only mouth" inhales to preheat the coil/wick a bit.. seems to work. Also, I read somewhere that nic has a bit lower vaporization temp than VG... so just maybe, the first few "cold" hits contain more nic than a warmed up atty... just a guess on my part.

I usually run at about 75 watts anything much more and the vapor gets very hot quick unless you can power inhale.

After about 20 drags at 110 watts my mod powers off with the overheat warning.

Perfect, start a bit lower, maybe 40w and ramp up as tank pressure/temperature increase.

Maine + Winter = Ecig/hand warmer. "sorted".
