I've been analog free for 10 days now. I smoked about a pack and a half a day for 25 years. The day I got my 510 kit I charged the batteries and have been vaping away without even thinking about lighting up an analog. The funny thing is that I smoked menthol cigs the entire time so, when I ordered my kit I ordered menthol juice and some fruit flavors just to sample. I've enjoyed the fruit flavors so much that I haven't even tried the menthol juice.

I think that part of my addiction to analogs was that I needed to have one in my hand to "pacify" me and with the 510 it "tricks" my brain into thinking that it's a real cig with:

LED = looks kinda like the cherry on a real cig.
Vapor = looks like real smoke and gives the "throat hit" feel
Size = it's similar to the size of a real cig.

All I can say is hats off to the people that invented and refined the e-cig.It has helped me get off the real cigs and made me feel so much better mentally and physically. I am now getting my sense of taste and smell back to where it was before I started smoking.

after 24 years of smoking 2 packs a day and doing the whole gum/ patch/ chantix thing (and failing miserably)i quit the day my 510 arrived in the mail.

i may still have a crutch but my tobacco days are over for good.

i don't even feel like i have given up anything either, vaping to me is at least as satisfying if not more satisfying than smoking.

I added vaping to my smoking analogs on the 17th of December with the intent on eventually quitting the analogs. I don't remember just when the following week I stopped analogs, but I had one on the 26th and couldn't do it again; it stunk real bad and tasted even worse. So far I have been vaping exclusively, though I did buy a pack recently "just in case." Now I've forgot where I stashed it. Vaping is the way to go for me... a modest replacement of nicotine, but it's the hand action that is a big part of the picture. Patches and gums never worked so well before.

The day I got my first e-cig was the last day I had an analog cig. I started with the Heath-e cig then found this site.

I then bought a 510, 401, 901 out of the 3 I like the 901 the best because I like all of the flavor it gave. That was May of 09 by Nov I was looking to by mods I am now a proud owner of a stick and a chuck.

I have never looked back NOT SINCE DAY ONE :D

Well I can't say I quitted the same day I received my e-cig, but just 3 days later (totally, after 20 years smoking 10+ cigs per day), and in these 3 days I smoked only a few cigs, but it's so easy with e-cigs.

On the contrary, I'm just so surprised to see a lot of e-cigs vapers still going on smoking analogs! In another forum I saw a "poll" and noticed 50+% of people going on with cigs :(
I'd like to discover whether a similar poll has been posted here (I bet it was!)

Actually after the first 2 weeks of total non-smoking analogs I smoked one in a very stressing occasion I was so nervous... went downstairs in smoker's lounge, decided to light a "good old" analog and .. *Yuck* cough*! what the..! it tasted SO disgusting really! Burnt paper is all I felt :p
..but in the same time I realised I had really quitted with them and felt so good =)

Same here, I'm 29 now, and have been smoking since I was 15 or 16. I got my first e-cig about 2 weeks ago, since then I'm yet to have smoked a cigarette. I've tried a lot of different things to quit, that's why I'm so all about these things. I just havent wanted a cigarette, I've lit one up a few times, but every time I've ended up taking one or two drags and just thinking it tasted so gross, then out the window it went.

I will say this though, e-cigarette usage comes with another habbit, EXCESSIVE ONLINE SHOPPING FOR MORE E-CIG STUFF!!! For instance, last night I think I ordered about 20 different flavors of juice from a vendor that I've heard has some of the best juice. I never found myself doing that when I smoked American Spirits, I just stuck with my normal flavor then, but then again I couldnt have got a Strawberry Iced Donut Am Spirit.
Best of luck to ya.

I have not smoked and so far am doing well with vaping. I have rediscovered smells and am amazed at how much my smoking friends stink. I can smell them when they come into my office.
I get a little ansy sometimes and want a analog, but when this happens I vape 36m until the feeling passes and then go back to vaping lower nicotine amounts.
The worst time for me is in the morning now. But so far so good!
Also food tastes better and I sure feel better, no hacking cough and no going to bed feeling like a elephant is sitting on my chest because I smoke too much.

Was like you about 4/6 months ago! IMHO, don't overstocked your inventory for more than 6 months. Chances are you may quit e-cig earlier than you ever thought! This what happen to me.

No more analogs for me, since August of '09- going strong with PVs- started with an M702 kit, and when that crapped out on me after a few days I got a 510 to use as a back-up while I waited for the 702 seller to replace my original PCC. The 510 is still going strong, (after replacing 2 M702 PCCs for a total of 3 units that have died on me, I've given up on them), I've added a VT Spade and am eagerly awaiting the arrival of a Super T Super-Six...can't wait! I've picked up an occasional analog (maybe 3 since August), and the smoke is so thick and the flavor is so disgusting compared to a PV that I can't get through more than half of one, and will never to back to regular cigs...after 21 years of heavy smoking! I want to thank all the good, well-meaning people in this new cottage industry- from the PV manufacturers and retailers and modders, to the juice makers and DIY specialists, to the reviewers, bloggers, and fellow vapers, for helping me to FINALLY kick the horrendous habit of cigarette smoking!
Props to you all and all the best in 2010!

I smoked for 57 years. I have had 3 analog cigarettes, since June 25th. I'm down
to zero nicotine, but I still haven't given up vaping on my 510's.

I've been a heasvy smoker most of those 57 years and always thought it was the nicotine, but now it seems like it's just the habit I can't conquer. I'm still coughing, but think I waited to long to give up the cancer sticks.

Too bad they didn't come out with e cigarettes decades ago. They might not be able
to advertise them as smoking cessation products, but they worked for me and a lot
of other people on this forum. And believe me I've tried everything out there and
would have probably jumped off a bridge if I'd stayed on Chantix much longer. I know several people who found that drug extrememly depressing, but the FDA fine with that, probably because Pizer has such deep pockets.

You got totally off the ecig too?? I'm using my ecig more than I did cigarettes right now...I'm constantly vaping. I will say that I am using low nicotine stuff during the day and higher strength solutions at night. But Im a pretty constant vaper all the same.

If I end up down to nothing that'd be grand, I just cant imagine that yet I dont guess
