Has anyone tried having a cigarette lately?

Atty quit on me today, so I got a smoke off a guy at work. WOW. I smoked for all these years and somehow how enjoyed it? Gross.

It tasted like ashtray. I felt like crap afterwards, too. The smell, the taste, the butts. Brutal.

So many people don't know what they're missing with vaping. Never again will I smoke.

Vapor for life.

Yea, I can't go back either. If I get a sniff of one when passing someone outside, its actually tempting. On the other hand, I was at a casino today, I knew immediately, that I had entered a smoking section, before I even saw a sign. The air stunk. For some reason smells appealing to me outdoors. I am over 17 months longest I have ever been. I love vaping too much to blow it now!

Still do it but much depends where I am. I still have to have 2 with my morning coffee, then I taper off and just vape more as the day goes by and pretty much exclusively vape at night. Have one big bottle of juice that I am not too fond of that I am trying to kill while some of my good stuff is steeping...that doesn't help.

I quit smoking and started vaping over a year ago...I don't think I could ever smoke a ciggy again because I can no longer deal with the smell.
I had smoked since I was 12 years old and never realized how it smelled and I couldn't smell it on others who smoked.
If I couldn't vape anymore (for whatever reasons) I couldn't go back to smoking ciggys..I would quit altogether.

I rage smoked today. Bought a whole pack, smoked one, exclaimed at how gross it is, put the pack away, and pulled out my PV to get the taste out of my mouth.

I smoked for 28 years, quit, apparently for good, 2 months ago, thanks to vaping.

I lit one up yesterday just because I missed it. Did the same 2 weeks ago. It's nasty compared to some of my juices.

I'm still a bit perplexed how I tolerated smoking for that long. I'm also equally perplexed that despite not liking the taste anymore, juices that "taste like a cigarette" catch my attention.

I wonder to myself... why the heck would I want that?

It's an unexplained phenomenon.

Not up on a soap box or anything, but I've never been tempted, for one nano-second, to light up again. After 31 years of it, I really was sick and tired of it. I was a slave (and still am) to the nicotine, but I grew to loathe the taste and smell of the cigarettes themselves. Thank God I discovered vaping, for the 'hand to mouth and inhaling' aspect of things, because I tried The Patch, nicotine gum, and Chantix, and they didn't cut the mustard. At all.. :vapor:

And NOW, I've been drinking a bit. And since it's been a HORRIBLE day, and I've been drinking, and I have a pack of smokes, I just had a smoke a little while ago.... I'm a little disgusted. I had to wash my hands after coming inside. I had to change my shirt after that. I can't believe I didn't notice this awful smell for 12 years. And I can't believe I didn't feel this way with every cigarette for 12 years. And I can't believe I ever had a second cigarette.

Good for you! And not in a sarcastic or demeaning kind of way. Seriously! I tried it all too (except Chantix), and vaping has kept me smoke free for WEEKS at a time, while all the other cessation aids just ...... me off, because while I was getting nicotine, my brain didn't believe it. I would smoke while I had nicotine gum in my mouth. And the patch just didn't seem to do anything at all.

But even with vaping, I still get these awful cravings. But when I give into them, as I have 4 times now, it's just gross, and I don't want to do it again.
