Has anyone tried the 306 on any of the Mod Styles

I ask this from time to time and never get a response, but has anyone ever tried the 306 on one of the big battery mod style e-cigs with the 510 adaptor. I am really tired of the battery performance and want to try dipping with at least more battery life and maybe even at a higher voltage. I am curious how that works with a big old battery hanging off of such a little atomizer.

No, I don't have the 510. I like the 306 size and ease of use. I am new to e-cigs but have tried a few others that didn't last 3 weeks.
Does anyone know what other carts will fit the 306?
Are you saying the battery of the 510 works with the 306 atomizer?
I do know from experience the atomizer from Blu fits the 306 but the tip sticking out is a little longer which seemed to burn the liquid in 306 carts. You can use the Blu atomizer and Blu cart on the 306, but I didn't like their carts with the metal covering inside the cart that the atomizer has to push through & then melts on the atomizer tip.
Has anyone tried the 401 atomizer or cartridge on the 306?

I'm pretty interested in this myself. The parts from the 510 and the 306 are supposed to be interchangeable, but I'm wondering which atomizer works better.

Of course I could be wrong, but I don't think 401/402 parts would work. For the 510 and 306 to be compatible, they'd have to be similar in diameter and have the same threading, etc... and I think the 401 is thinner.

Yes. Batteries/atomizers are interchangeable. I have both. The 306 is better for dipping as the whole atomizer is exposed whereas in the 510 it's buried (better suited for dripping than dipping).

You can use your 306 battery on the end of your 510 smoke if you feel the need for an "auto" battery for an interesting change.

As for atomizers, the 510 produces more vapor, even on the 306 battery. I don't seem to taste the vapor as well though, and suspect it's all the workings of a higher temperature that's being used.

510 chargers (i.e. the metal flip-top you see referenced everywhere) work with the 306 battery, but not the 306a (which is too short for the spring-loaded chamber).

306 atty on 6v gets way too hot and is too close to the lips for my comfort. Tried it once and I worried about burns and melting cartridges so I stick to the 510.

That is pretty much what I was wondering bout and figure it is best to keep 306s at 3.7v. I hate dripping with 510s though so 3.7v seems like the way to go unless you use the 801 compatible atomizers.

Seems like someone with a 510 adaptor-equipped Prodigy could test a 306 atty at 5 volts.

I'm thinking of getting the 510 adaptor myself, along with a non-resistor switch and some 18650 batteries (3.7V, 2200mAh :)).

Next, I want to design and machine a nylon or Delrin adaptor to use 801 carts with a 306 atomizer. With the exposed mesh, I can get that big cart down where it will touch. Here's what I think it would yield:

-Great flavor with the 306 atty at 3.7V
-Long battery life with the 2200mAh jumbos; Walrus says about 2-3 days (!)
-Large cart capacity, with the 801s (when I top off, the cart will take 10-12 drops)

What do you think?

The 401's and 510's are exact opposites of each other, meaning that the attys will fit together. Even though the 401 is smaller the threads match and a dead 510 atty makes a great 401 connector for mods. I have one myself and use it over the 510. I have ordered a couple of 306's so I can use them on my 510 boxmod. I hate to use carts anymore and just drip, beats the 510 in flavor. I think that higher voltage may be too hot for the smaller 401's because they get really hot at 3.6.

thanks for this info Shadowdr. That's the answer to a question I was about to ask.

Great to hear!

I still have my very first 306 atty sitting around, which I thought was deceased (thanks to my early inability to keep it juiced up, it burned a lot). This evening, I popped it onto my Xhaler and it's purring along fine. I think I pronounced it gone too soon. :) Now I've got a few 306 backups when I occasionally just want to dip at my desk. (Good way of sampling a lot of new flavors.)

I'm also beginning to think that the 306 atomizers also don't get quite as hot as the 510s, which is advantageous on an HV mod. This cooler running might correlate with the superior taste that some notice with 306s.
(Now if only the 306 was the least bit friendly to cartridge mods like the 510 is...)

I've been using my 306 atty on my 5v Xhaler today. Not bad at all. You have to dip really frequently because the HV mods are absolute juice hogs. But I like it just fine.

Since I started this thread my 306s now live on SuperT, Protege, or Chuck, but I have been weary of HV. I am glad to hear some positive reports about it. Have you tried the HV juice or at least the thicker juices to see if it holds a dip longer?

And just because I could here is a picture of a 306 on a SuperProChucken. Its a
Protege in SuperT1 inside a little Chuck:

looks like you could burn the atty at both ends (as the saying goes)

put me on the pre-order list for that one

I haven't tried my new friend (306) with HV juice.. but I have tried it on 6v and it held strong...

Yeah, I should have left the atty on the protege too for the Ambi-Superprochucken.

Im glad to get another report of the little guy holding strong. I have heard from 2 sources that it got pretty hot, which i believed because I can heat it up pretty well at 3.7. It still never seems to get as hot as the 501s though. How well does a single dip last at HV?

I'm not sure I even understand that pic... kind like Lovecraft, too many angles.... to strange to comprehend

There is nothing to understand. I was all tweaked from busting my .... to meet a deadline and was chilling out afterward watching Top Chef and decided to my my own PV version of the Turducken (Chicken in a duck in a turkey). Just a moment of madness that makes me laugh when I look at it.
