GeorgeS surely said it - "I liken it to my pipe smoking friends, they have a few DOZEN pipes and almost as many different tobacco blends to puff on. I bet THEY did not start out wanting a new hobby ether."

When I was writing my post, it was going through my mind that when I switched from cigs to a pipe, back in 1974, I deliberately focussed on pipes to the point of mild obsession to get over the notion for cigarettes - and I must admit I did the same with vaping in case I got a bad smoking notion.

I owned up to a collection of 62 pipes, many silver mounted, that I had built up over the years ( sold them off now) and indeed had quite a stash of different blends of tobacco!

Don't miss any of them though ( he said eyeing up lovingly his growing vaping collection.)

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I knew when i first started that the last thing i want to happen is to acquire tons of mods and gear , my purpose was to just get what i needed and to keep costs down as much as possible.

I have been able to do that , i have way more than i'll ever need already , about 4 mods and 6 or 7 tanks that i rebuild , don't want anymore than that.

Nic`d Up in Oklahoma!
My habit was a hobby for almost two decades. At its high point, I had 500 cigars, and three humidors, and a cooler`dor. So it is nice that this habit has been so much cheaper, and just as rewarding as the cigar habit. And my day job is small mechanical instrument repair, so Iv been able to transfer my almost 2 decades of skills to rebuilding and mechanical vaporizers.

Vaping for me is a win-win. :?)
