Ummm no, i think ive spent more money, sadly. My cigarettes are about $10 a pack and i smoked at least a pack a day so i thought it would be saving me TONS of money but no. my first problem was buying a starter kit that set me back about $200 but was crap and i used it for a couple weeks and then never again. Second problem is that, although i am happy with my Ego, there are soooo many cool gadgets that can fit on one! Then third problem is the juice. I ordered from everywhere trying to find my favorites, and i have a couple of definite faves now, and then trying DIY to try to save money and ending up spending a lot of money on that too (although it is kinda fun). Fourth problem, there is always something bigger and better than your present set up and they are sooooo tempting!

I am, at least for the last two months finally saving money. I have been vaping since July 2010. I am well stocked with juice and hardware, have my Reos, who could ask for anything more? I sshould not need to buy anything for quite some time. However, it will take me a while to break even. BUT the journey into vaping has been worth it.

lol =] so from what im gettin here it seems the only ways if anyone here's gonna save any money is to stick to one equipment haha...its such a good thing to know at least we're spending money on something that helps us stop the anologs rather than on other things that may harm us! i personally am gonna diy my liquid and try to get a good cartomizer...but sometime kinda scary if the cartomizers we get don't last which they are not suppose to...but still if cartomizers can last abit longer than im sure we'll be saving much more =]

At this point I cannot estimate my cartomizer costs because I've used a single Ressurector cartomizer for over a month now and it still performs like new. Given their cost and longevity, I'd put a monthly cost at under $5. As for juice... now I've narrowed down what I like, I spend about $40 a month (will drop another $10-20 soon). So my monthly costs are approximately $45. I used to spend $180 a month being a pack-a-day smoker. I am actually realizing a $130+ monthly saving at my four month vaping mark, and have still saved money to this point despite the initial expense of a device and supplies, and experimenting with short-life atomizers and unappreciated juice.

EDIT: Oh... and I feel freakin' marvelous... better than I did 10 years ago. :2cool:

For me, I'm definitely saving money because I spend 1/10th of what I use to spend on cigarettes monthly, while still vaping at the same amount compared to analogs, probably more! It is true that finding the PV that suits you will set you back initially but when you find it you will definitely start saving.

I'm saving money too. Granted, I lose quite a bit in the early days when I'm buying the mods and accessories, but once I settled on my fav combos, I'm fine. I did start saving after about 5 or 6 months, once I've recovered the initial investment.

That said.......HEALTH IS PRICELESS. It's more important to me to spend a little bit of money now, than to spend lots on hospital bills later.

SAVING $$??...DONT THINK SO FOR US,e-cig users in MALAYSIA..analogs is relatively very cheap even branded ones(10rm=$3.33) for a pkt of 20..but many local brands for as little as 4rm for 20($1.33)..so that is why local here do not wish to changeover to e-cig and also hard to convince them the benefit of using e-cig as their mindset is the cost and also hear-say from mongers who told them the e-liquids used in e-cig is poisonous/harmful to user..maybe they dont want to give up on their analogs.. for newbies the 1st step is get hold of e-cig & try it & then as time-goes-by the benefit of using e-cig to analogs will show..the $$ spend on e-cig is the best buy..worth every single cent..happy vaping every1..regards mafig ps buy online for multiple sets and e-liquids by the kg..is the cheapest and cost saving

IMHO, cheapest e-cig is,

- DIY flashlight mod (18650, 14500, ...etc, box mod could be cheaper but not looking good)
- DIY rebuildable coil tank atomizer
- DIY liquids

if you DIY before, you'll know that you have to buy parts in bulk....which will last for maybe 1 to 2 years for your personal use only !!:laugh:

right? Mr.raceengine? your kantals should allow you to rebuild atomizer coils few hundred times, LOL !

Oh, for personal use you won't be following how we import, it's total different quantity and problems we have to face, not you.

You should buy about 250g to 500g, should last you about 10 months!
