Has the excitement and fascination with vaping diminished over time ?

I'm still excited about it..anxious and getting the right set ups that are as satisfying and not as much trouble as my first vape (Nemi w/ Russian) has settled down a whole lot since the istick.

I enjoy it..vaping and learning about all the new products as they come out..and the "what if" the next new thing is better than the istick? OMG!! *happy dance*:p

Stopped going to AA meetings, had a drink...

That *is* usually the case, though I haven't been to a meeting in... oh hell, probably 4 or 5 years, but my compulsion to drink was lifted some years ago -- I know that as long as I don't have the first one, I won't need to worry about any of the others. :D

But I found out this summer what happened when I couldn't vape for just a few days -- a little smoking, which became PAD inside 3 days, and took a month to get rid of again. I think if I *ever* consider that quitting vaping seems like a reasonable idea, it would be at least 5 yrs or more down the road. Or maybe not ever -- I only drank for 13 years; I smoked for 3 times that. :D

I was super gung ho at first. Reading, going to stores, etc. I'm like that about most of my interests, though, I have to research the crap out of everything I like.

I'm still into learning about new gear, and I plan to eventually upgrade to a higher wattage regulated mod, but I've decided to do some more research and save up some to buy one really good quality one instead of spending a bunch of money trying ALLL the new things. For now I'm happy with my MVP and my nautilus (finally) and have four or five juices that I love and rotate so that I can hopefully avoid the dreaded vaper's tongue. I am contemplating whether I want to try something like a Kayfun…still reading and watching videos to see if building coils is something that I think I can do, but I'm not rushing into that either. Mostly, I've got my setup like I want it for now and am satisfied with my vaping and have so far not really craved a cigarette in two months, so that's pretty awesome.

I find the more time goes by the more interesting vaping becomes. I am proud to say I'm an addict but it isn't the nicotine this time it is the culture and sub-culture that enthralls me I view myself as a disciple of the vape god always searching for the perfect cloud, flavor, set-up you know the Holy Grail of Vapor. I view it as a way to meet new people and compare notes see what their favorite atty is, the way they prefer their juice mix ratios, what type of coils they like to build, what they use for their wick material, and what ohm levels they enjoy. So far no two people are the same and there is truly no set standard so there is no wrong or right way to vape except for being mindful of battery capacities and battery safety. I'm very passionate about this new cultural phenomenon called vaping and finding out what other peoples personal experience with it is all about and what attracted them to it in the first place hence why I'm on here right now. I love the fact that I have yet to come across a harsh or rude vaper or someone that was offended by someone asking them about their vape and the hype surrounding it.

After 20 months, I think the obsession phase is finally over. I'm happy with my liquid, mod, RDAs and RTAs. I don't feel the need to chase "better" gear anymore.

I think I'm even getting over my obsession with reading ECF every spare minute of the day.

Yeah... I gotta find something better to do. :?:

in between the ice ages
Ex- Heavy cig smoker. Tried a cig-alike. Got off cigs. Got a bigger (more MAH) ciga-alike. Spending 4 to 5 hours reading on this forum per day! Started looking at flavors. Instead of getting a better cig-alike moved up to Provari. Ordered/tried different toppers. Discovered rebuilding coils. Discovered DIY juices. Ordered a backup Provari. Essentially stopped buying juices from every place on the net. Have ended up with maybe a half dozen flavors I vape. Sitting here at my desk I'll drip with an Igo-L or use a 'heavier' topper like an AGA or the new ELeaf Lemo (great K-Fun killer BTW). Up and about still using Vivi Nova tanks (lighter than the AGA's, etc). Maybe I'll go a whole day without checking in on this forum!! I've got what works for me ad I've gotten pretty good at resisting the "latest and greatest" gizmo/liquid..
