Just 33 days in now, leveling up over that time in gear upgrades ($). Had I known then what I know now through trial and error then I'd have just bought this here Kanger ProTank 3 and a couple of vv Spinner II's in the first place and saved a few hundred $$ in gear that's already sitting in the drawer. :)
So I've finally found a nice pv. Next for me is to DIY some juice. Then I'll be good to go.
After a 27 year stinky habit then I am really enjoying vaping, with no plans of stopping, although the fascination is subsiding.

No fascination decline yet but doing better keeping the wallet in my pocket. Have to be one heck of a deal on something very cool to get me buying things other than maintenance and juice related items. Not been at this all that long though.

The new offerings for mods since I started vaping a few months ago are amazing!

Do feel the need for a Magma, a Big dripper and a higher watt mod though. The sick part is I am not unhappy with my current setups at all. I think my love for money and keeping it close will win out eventually.
The wifey is not into it like I am and does not understand my need to have stuff at all, very happy with her spinner and Protank. In fact she mentioned something to this effect last night and I replied, "well it has been 100 days since you bought a pack of cigars, that should make the math easy for you". End of discussion.

Northern NJ native , Coastal NC now.
I stopped going to AA meeting for 8+ years, DIDN'T Drink. Then I went back for about 3 years. Stopped going again about 2.5 years ago and still haven't had a drink.

I'm going to a golf weekend tomorrow where everyone drinks, but me. I won't be drinking or even thinking about it. I'll stop vaping in about 3 months or less (Been cutting down already without even trying).

When you are over something you're over it.

My biggest headache today is making sure I pack all the vape gear I think I'll use this weekend. Juice, batteries, chargers (for Vape and phone).

PITA.

In my experience , with vaping , you don't lose your freaking mind when you realize that extra pack of Marlboros you thought you had bought the night before was in reality just a dream (as you tear your place to shreds looking for a .... in your ashtray) that may have one or two puffs left .

Analogs had me doing that or doing 90 mph in a 25 mph zone to get to the convenience store before i had a full blown nic fit , with vaping i have more control .

I don't feel the need to kill people if i have to wait longer (thats a good thing in my book) and i'm sure the person i was planning on exterminating would think the same lol.

No vaping is my hobby, I am always waiting for something in the mail from wherever, rebuilding a coil, mixing a new juice, stopping in at the local B&M or just surfing to see when the next thing will hit the market. I don't think vaping will ever loss its excitement for me.

Keep a very close eye on your wallet there friend.

I lost my obsession with vaping many years ago.

I've been using the same equipment for many years now as well...
Just an Ego Twist and standard 510 atomizer for dripping.

My passion for these products has now shifted to being a vaping advocate.
And that is a never-ending activity with no end in sight yet.

I think it's really just a matter of time for people and by the responses it's obvious some have not reached that point yet.

I started out slow with just a cigalike starter kit and I was happy with that for about 5 months but then....it happened. I went to the vape shop down the road for the first time and saw their stuff and every since then it's been a full on obsession. I don't know why I love it so much but it's become my hobby. I love collecting RBA's. I like the collecting part and the actual building and all of that. It's pretty much become my main hobby. Gaming got pushed to the side pretty quick when I got into rebuildables. Now most of my time when I'm not at work is vaping related.

Follow the tip i gave the 'usual suspect' .

i hear ya op!

played the collect-a-mod game for a year or so, just got done selling all but one. finally found the setup that works best for me, and as i see it the mods i wasn't using were literally hundred dollar bills (usually more) sitting on my nightstand collecting dust. As i've found myself getting into a more expensive hobby (japanese car tuning ... lol), the mods had to go.

with mod makers nowadays literally charging more and more with nothing for a design change minus a fancy little logo, i had to jump ship on that reaaaally quick.

Okay someone mentioned the provari 3 coming out so I had to google that and I am totally screwed now... geez...

I have only been vaping for about three weeks now and at first I was rather reluctant but decided on a mod and tank and purchased one... now I am looking at ordering 6 new batteries for it on friday and picking up a charger at the local shop... my wish list includes an RDA I want to try witch also mean I have to get the meter and tools and of course a Aspire mini I have to get as a back up and I am really curious about a new mod that just came out the itaste box or something like that so yeah this started out as simple yeah I will give it a try and now look.... dang... So yeah the obsession has started.

I am on my wife's life insurance policy at her work. Last year they still classified me as a smoker. Yesterday afternoon, she talked to the rep and he asked her if I smoked. She said "no, he uses those e-cig thingies." He said, "Well, he is a non-smoker then."

In the last 2 years...

Family doc has me as a non-smoker
Life Insurance as a non-smoker

But when they do blood tests for insurance policies and the nicotine shows in the blood, would they not still say you were a smoker ?

Until recently, almost every juice I tried tasted pretty bad. Now (last 3 weeks) i am appreciating flavors I did not previously. At this juncture, have acquired everything I need gear wise, and only will be acquiring only a few more pieces not out of need, but out of want. Thus I have lost much of the vape gear fascination, except as demanded by the vape gear spiders, but my fascination remains with retrying juices.

And then there is the whole world of DIY juice to be fascinated with after that.

tl;dr : while my fascination has changed, it is not diminished.

After finally getting a REO and an RM2 my itch to get new devices is over(except for more REO's of course). Hands down the easiest most reliable device out there for hard core drippers. I still wonder what took me so long to try one. A tool that not only does the job but does it well! Now vaping is as easy as lighting up...lol.

I loved every minute of trying lots of new vape toys for the first 2-1/2 years. But at that point I decided it was time to just enjoy what I already owned, and for over a year and a half that is exactly what I've done :) I've absolutely no interest in anything new and different then what I have already. I lost my addiction to nicotine a long time ago now but I still enjoy vaping :vapor: I may stop vaping someday, but I will NEVER stop being an advocate for vaping.!

What, me obsessed? I just enjoy vaping. Especially when I'm up all night for days at a time browsing vape gear websites, checkng out the new i-thingy this, i-thang that, e-grip this, e-gripper that. Then my sweet tooth kicks in. Did someone just say black berry cherry cheese cake cotton candy???

For me it's all about gadgets, combined with sweets. These things just catch my interest, that's all.
Me, obsessed? No freakin' way!!!

Well, been vaping over a year.. and I have six mods.. that's it. I'm not as obsessed as others are, but I'm still interested in it. I don't re-coil as much as I used to, and I'm now more interested in a "grab and go" type setup than one that is particularly tastefull. Granted, it still tastes good, but I have done everything I've wanted to try. I don't know if the hobby will continue, but so far, so good. I seemed to have gravitated away from the actual vaping, and more into helping others stop smoking through vaping, and helping others make the switch.

I keep current on the new stuff but I'm a bargain hunter....

With a limited budget as the wife begrudges every nickle spent.

But I love a bargain.....Just bought a 100 dollar clone RTA for 30 bucks "on sale."( Ithaka clone...been wanting one for 3 years but wouldnt spend the money)

I might have a real Nemesis from a friend of a friend next week for 50 bucks...(this is a bargain.)

I rebuild my tanks cause its cheap....plus they give better vapor then any Clearo ever thought about with less hassle.

Still obsessed....just not bending the check book or pissing off the Lady.

I have noticed that my fascination and wanting to read and explore everything regarding vaping has faded to a large degree . Nowadays i vape but have pretty much settled on what i need and like in my vape and don't buy much at all anymore (and i am very satisfied lol)

I also want to say if not for finding vaping and this website i believe i would still be smoking because i was very concerned about how i was going to stop having tried nearly all the latest stop smoking aids and failing .

Imo , vaping is the single most effective way of beating the deadly cig habit , no other method comes close in my view .

What about everyone else , are you still in the obsessed stage or have things changed over time ?

Thank you

The pure novelty has faded; my hardware explorations are rarer, since I've found some good vapes that I really like and can depend on. I'm on my 2nd "ADV", blueberry muffin/banana nut bread -- my first was tobacco of course, but it really doesn't taste that good to me anymore, and I'd consider that progress. I agree with you, vaping is the most effective means of quitting smoking that has ever been invented, and today being Thanksgiving, vaping is at the top of my list of things I'm thankful for. :)

My various vaping obsessions are changeable -- for a while it was, learning to rebuild atties, learning to wick them correctly; then it was trying to find other flavors I liked, besides the Virginia I started with. Now I'm seriously into the DIY thing, because I use WTA, and I need high-PG, and I think my tastebuds are still some ways from full recovery, I like flavors strong and sweet -- all of which means that making my own is by far the best way for me to proceed, so I'm trying to learn to make good ejuice, and still trying to identify flavors I can enjoy enough to vape continuously. I've at least learned enough to understand that it's not something I can master in a few weeks; I can make a few that are pretty tasty, and I'm happy with that for now, while I keep trying to get better at it.

Happy thanksgiving!
Andria
