I ordered a good sized bottle of unflavored 36mg, 50/50 & keep it in a Evod. It's got a flavor all it's own & is very close to a analog.
If 24mg doesn't cut it, it never will. Up your nic to 36mg to kill those cravings.

& very good advice in here about batteries & toppers. Upgrade you equip.
I use a few Evods with various flavored plus my unflavored 36mg.
That's what I do.

Good Luck

I have to say it's nice to see others vaping 36mg. I don't see that real often on the forum and feel like I'm some kinda nicotine freak. Just kidding, I am a nicotine freak. I won't go less than 36 because it just doesn't quite cut it even at 24. I gots me a vv and some pretty good clearos and lots of times all I need is about six hits and I'm feeling dandy. This is what works for me.

Agree 100% Not saying everyone should go to 36 mg immediately but if needed it's no big deal. If it wasn't used Vendors would not be selling it.

I'm convinced that some people just need more nicotine, and I seem to be one of them ...

Like the OP, I chain vaped my first order of 24mg juice, then stepped it up to 36mg. I even got some 48mg juices from MyFreedomSmokes, but had to thin those out, I had found my limit ...

Down to 18mg now and steady as she goes. Might try some 12mg soon, but 18 seems to be my spot ...

OP,

Not sure if you've noticed the "InfoZone" tag at the top of the forum, but this was an important read for me and really helped:

User technique - ECF InfoZone

As others have said, vaping is not smoking, and the technique is different... it's a little more of a 'process' versus just 'quick drag' from a cigarette. During my first few months of vaping, I would a) draw vapor into my mouth, b) wait a second or so, c) inhale into my lungs from mouth, d) SLOWLY exhale through my nose (not my mouth).

Using that technique I was able to completely quit smoking immediately upon buying my first starter kit, which really sucked compared to the stuff out now (an EGO-C, which was limited to only 3.4v). I used 24mg juice at first.

Also, as others have mentioned, you WILL get cravings for a cigarette for a few weeks after quitting because there are other things in tobacco smoke that are addictive. I recall getting a few particularly bad cravings for a cigarette about 3 weeks in, even when vaping my face off with that 24mg liquid. THEY WILL PASS, trust me!

Finally, gear is important. Not all atomizers are created equal, and the mount of power that your battery can put out makes a difference.... higher wattage (which is a combination of atomizer ohm resistance AND the ability of your battery to put out the amps needed to achieve those watts) results in more & finer vapor and a higher "hit" from the nicotine. You will see posts of experienced users dropping their nic levels when switching to higher powered atomizers and/or mods.... there is a reason.

Stick with it, and don't feel shy about posting when you need support.... many of us have been down this road already and are willing to help.

Hey, I started at 24mg, and 2 years in and still vape 18mg. I've tried 12mg, it just doesn't do it for me... I miss the throat hit and the that "peaceful" feeling I get from 18mg (don't know how else to describe it).

I always like what the drunk passed out cigarette smoking squirrel has to say:laugh:

Hey that's his "Remember When". He's been thru rehab and is sittin' next to me vaping Peanutz Pumpkin 36 mg 8-o
So many times I see new vapers so very concerned about the Nic level they're using...some of my converts were bound and determined to vape a lower mg in the beginning and then got all bent outta shape when they found themselves vaping 10- 15 ml per day. Switched to a higher Nic and were far more comfortable with the amount per day they were vaping.

Unfortunately, quitting the ciggs is a process and one that you have to mentally be prepared to overcome. Vaping alone does not take care of the mantality that we smokers have, we also have to prepare our selves for the quit day. I have been off ciggs for 2 months and how I handled it was telling myself because I am vaping doesn't mean that I will never smoke a cigg again. The brain is a powerful weapon and if not treated as such it can be self distructive. I agree with everyone that you must not look to vaping as equal to smoking but a step to better health. Increase your hardware to substantiate the vape you are requiring. Increasing the mg to 36 can be very dangerous as you can poison yourself if you are vaping non-stop. I think increasing your battery and atomizer will do wonders for what you are experiencing and you will find more satisfaction. I moved up very quickly myself from a halo ego style to an Innokin 134 and I do not even have a craving, want, or a need for a cigg even when I am out around people smoking. Hang in there, you will find your niche.

36 mg/ml the first two weeks. 24 mg/ml the next six months. 3 months at 18, 12, now 6 mg/ml. Nicotine "requirements" go down over time. Do what you have to do to make it work and get some better gear. When you can, try the Kayfun or Taifun. You'll be able to lower your Nic with those, believe me. Good luck!

Plus one on the kayfun/Taifun as well.... they are like going from oval dirt track racing to Nascar...

Something else you will want to keep in mind and I haven't seen anyone else post this yet. Nicotine takes longer to reach your brain through vaping than smoking. It takes a good 5-10 minutes before you feel anything. With smoking it takes 5-10 seconds. That's because in smoke the nicotine particles are about 1/10th the size of the nicotine molecules in vapor. Many cigs also have ammonia and other things added to the tobacco that also speeds up the nicotine absorption.

To everyone else that has massively replied to my original post (and wow - I wasn't expecting such a huge repost): THANKS!!

Yah my next liquid purchase will be 36mg, simply so instead of having suck on the thing 20X a minute, maybe I can relax it back to 10X :) We'll see how the 36mg works.

Right now I'm just looking for something that I can get the same nic. as a cigarette, while I'm just starting. Even if I have to up it to 48mg, and only take 4-5 vapes over the course of a minute, that works for me. I've read some people say 48mg is near lethal if it's not diluted down to less, but if I only take a vape off it 5-6 times over a 15minute break at work, and after that 15mins I feel it's given me the same nicoten as 2x 1.2mg cigarettes, I'm happy :) I'll try the 36mg first.

Thanks again everyone!

One of the major differences between vaping and smoking is that with analogs, you get the nicotine in your system almost immediately whereas with vaping it takes a few minutes. This is due to the delivery system. Nicotine from vaping has to be absorbed through the mucus membranes in your mouth and throat. Nicotine from smoking is absorbed directly into the blood through oxygen exchange in the lungs. The effect is almost immediate. If you can't at least try to sneak a vape while at work it is going to be a matter of willpower over necessity. It will be tough but worth every minute of it. Expecting vapor to give the same effect as analogs will be a big disappointment as they are as different as they are alike. It is like trying to find a flavor that tastes the same as your brand of analogs. Not gonna happen. This is where the mind has to take over and tell yourself that if this is going to work you are going to have to make concessions. When you can vape, do it before you get to the craving stage. It is like taking pain meds after the pain is unbearable. You end up playing catch up instead of staying ahead of it. I hope in some small way this helps?

I agree with Vapoor. A few of the people I have converted struggled at first. When I asked what juice they were using all said 6mg and 12mg because they smoked "light" cigs. I told them not to pay any attention to the vendor comparison of 24 being extra high (I have even seen the term non-filtered), 18 - regular, 12 - light and 6 - ultra light. My suggestion was to try 24 and see if that helped them. Each one came back later and said that did the trick. After completely stopping smoking, some worked their way down.

I was a PAD smoker for 30 years. I started on 24 and still use it today. Don't focus on the number being high or low, focus on what works for you no matter what that number is.

Thought I would throw this out there, even though I have been vaping for less than a week.
I picked up an ego twist, and a pro tank 2. Used them stock untill yesterday. I had the same feeling as you; had to be vaping all the time to get my nic levels. I re wicked the PT2 from the stock silica, to cotton. It made a dramatic improvement in my vape experience. The flavour was intensified, and it seemed like I was getting more nic- I could feel a tingly sensation on my tongue.
I had 1 smoke yesterday, 4 the day before, and a half a smoke first thing today, which tells me I'm definatly getting the nic I'm used to.

I really like your pain med analogy. When I first started vaping, I was almost terrified that I would have a cigarette craving and give in to it and smoke. I vaped pretty constantly at first because of that. I did not want to get to that bad place. It worked for me, and I never really have had what I would call an urge to smoke. I do, however, have the urge to vape. Which is all good.:)

If you flood your vaper, be careful about suckin that raw juice straight in your mouth or you might get more nic than you want.
