I just figured out that I vape about 4.29 ml per day at 88 cents per ml, so including shipping costs, it costs me about $3.55 in liquid per day. I spend about 9 dollars a month on atomizers, so I figure I'm spending about $115.50 altogether each month on vaping. Just curious about what other people are up to.

But for us I learned that making my own juice was the most cost effective and we also love just spending the time coming up with our own flavors. We have spent more then a few dollars making our own stuff but in the long run we are very well set for any kind of fda b.s. ban's or some harsh over taxation from our governments.

I would like to start making my own liquids too in case of govt problems. The only insurmountable problem I see with that is if they make it illegal to purchase nicotine. And yes, I was a very heavy smoker.

I've just filled out my line up of hardware with a Provari and 3 Kayfun clone tanks. That brings me up to 11 tank atomizers, a slue of cartos from both Blucig and Halo, 2 other variable mods, 3 eGo style batteries and 6 Halo G6 batteries (Yes I still use the Halo G6). Gave away the Blu stuff to someone that uses it for something else.
Extra coil heads for all the tanks I have and supplies to rebuild the Kayfuns.

Add to that a bunch of juices that I like and some, many, I don't care for (At least at this time).

Not sure what I have spent on all of this and I have only been vaping for 2+ months. But I haven't have an analog in 26 days (?).

It really doesn't matter as long as I don't smoke cigarettes. I suspect, I HOPE, the recent expenditures are done and now it is just keeping myself in juice and down the road supplies for rebuilding and head for the tanks. But since I have 100' of Kanthal 28 gauge and a bag of cotton balls I won't need supplies for the Kayfuns for a while. I also have 10-15 replacement heads for each style/type of tanks I have.

My initial outlay comes to ~£180.

I mix my own juices and haven't (yet) caught shinyitis, so now it's costing me ~£6 a week including coils (roughly every 6 weeks).

Factoring all that in it's about £36 a week, and every day that passes it's getting lower.

In the 6 weeks (guesstimate) since I stopped smoking I've already saved around £600.

I'm a noob and trying out loads of different flavours so I've spent a lot lately on juice. I can make my own coils (less than 5 gbp for around 500) so that isn't a problem. I reckon that when I decide on my favourite flavour (DoubleMint is tasting good), I'll be spending around 7 gbp a week. A hell of a lot better than the cost of 60 smokes per day :)

Since I started over 2 years ago, gear and juice: $30-$40 a month. Could be better if I would DIY.

But, I'm a cheapskate, except for juice; tried that cheap mountain juice, not my favorite.

I started on a flea market 510 kit, then went to; Joye eGo Twist/Vivi Nova, iTaste v3/evod, MVP/Protank 2, to finally an SVD/KF clone.

Most everything is still working and are used pretty regularly.

    Nice thread bro.

I keep a record because I'm a big nerd, and also to help motivate me staying off the cigarettes to see how much money I'm saving. I've only been vaping for 7 weeks now, and for the first 3 weeks I actually spent more than I would have on cigarettes. But it's gradually coming down now that I have plenty of supplies.

I used to smoke a pack a day of Marlborough Lights which were about £8.50 per day. I expect to be averaging around £6 per week on ejuice, then occasional replacement batteries, clearos, coils, etc, should still keep it under £12 a week average. By the time I go away in August I should have saved £400 which will more than pay for my holiday!

I could save even more if I mixed my own juice and rebuilt my own coils, but for now I'm content to be off the cigarettes and saving money - and I did buy 50 spare coils so there's no hurry there!

Well, I've been doing DIY juice since 3 months into vaping, so in juice, that's about a dollar a day. I vape 13 ml a day. Currently have enough wick and wire for years of building, and enough variety to meet any ohm/watt scenario. Also have enough cotton, hemp and ramie fiber to last me till my last vape on earth. So figure maybe $5 per year cost for wick and wire. So the cost of vaping runs me about $380 per year. Batteries not included. lmao.

Now the cost of collecting, is an entirely different conversation and cost analysis argument.

I'm at the point where don't really need anything more to have one damn fine vape. And I look at acquiring mods and rba's as adding to and enhancing my collection and vape experience. I usually take three tanked mods into work with me, usually 2 mechs and one dna30 device. Tied up in those three setups is around $1200. I have about 2k total invested in mods and rba's. So for the fist year of my vape journey I've roughly saved 1k by vaping and not smoking. And can't tell you how many more years I've added to my stay on Planet Earth.

I have a pretty decent quality collection of mostly authentic, with a clone throw in along the way. The best stuff is always the Authentic stuff. But clones can be attractive too, but are a gamble.

So yeah, cost me less than smoking year one, year two is all paid for, and part of year 3 too. Gear wise, am set for life, but seem to remain susceptible to the "Damn, that looks Sweeeeetttt!!! Oh my, I got to get me one of those, that would vape stellar" Syndrome. Most of my best acquisitions were made in that mode though. lmao.

    Vape long and Prosper.!!!

I keep a spreadsheet that I update weekly. Some weeks all I put in it is the amount I would have spent on cigs. I'm over 2 grand in savings. I buy liquids every other month so I'm about $50.00 a month in e-liquid. I was spending over $50.00 a week in cigarettes.

I vape anywhere from 5-7ml per day. That's a pretty average amount. Some devices go through liquid rapidly. The hotter the coil...the faster the liquid gets vaporized. ;)

The savings column should start jumping now that I'm FINALLY settled into my devices of choice. No more big purchases on gear and it's just liquids now. I may have to spring for more wicking material but that's months down the road....or not if I decide to try using the cotton balls I purchased a month ago but haven't used yet.

    It isn't a lot.

    Quick inventory:

    DIY unflavored juice: under $100
APVs: I bought two Sigelei Zmax telescopic V3s and a V5 during the last 13 months. They all still work fine. Lets call that $140
    Two IBTanked carto tanks: $50
    Smok cartos $70
Batteries: About $50 for IMR 18xxx batteries.
    New battery charger $17
    A couple of atomizers I didn't like: $20

    Cost for year: $447
    Cost per month: $37.25
    Cost per week: $8.54
    Cost per day: $1.22

Just to be honest I have some supplies like batteries, tools and lab supplies purchased in recent years and used during the last year but haven't included them in this year's expenses.

Im a hard core genesis fan boy and usually build my coils to about .5 which throws off tons of flavor and vapor. Luckily I diy and vape anywhere from 5 to 6 ml a day but I only vape 3mg nic. A 10 ml bottle costs me about $1 to make and rebuilding my coils cost me about a penny per coil so im looking right at 3 or 4 dollars per week to vape this doesnt include the attys and mods that I buy though. If youre looking to saving money DIY is the way to go for sure though.

As for juice, I use about 5-9ml per day, wife uses about 1-2ml per day. Average out to about 10 ml for both of us. I DIY and it generally cost me about 3 cents per ml to make (not including the "hardware" costs of the syringes, bottles, etc. which are all reusable and will last a long time). So, for juice, costs us about 30 cents per day.

Never did add up the cost of the units we are using, but would guess around $250 - $300 range for batteries, tanks, etc. Again, these are reusable,,,,
