Price difference aside, just received the new Vaporshark Switchbox DNA75 mod, it's now my #1 device. If you like the VT75 Nano, you will love this one, and you won't have any issues with stripping the battery cap threads, this one has two side caps, with different color options, held on with very strong magnets.

I've always liked the VaporShark rubberized coatings, as the device feels nice in the hand, never had any issues with the coating on my DNA200, though they had early issues with it from what I've read. Now the coating seems even more improved, at least from how it feels new, still rubber, but feels HARDER. Only time will tell on any finish.

If interested, check out the latest PBUSARDO online review.

I like what the did with that version (the rounding out). It's really nice looking too.

Congratulations, Mac!

It's even heavier then the VT75. Now unlike many reviewers I don't equate a devices WEIGHT with meaning quality. I prefer lighter devices, companies could use lead, and reviews would tell you how SOLID the device feels, meaningless to me. But, if any of that means something to someone, then this mod would qualify as both heavy and rock solid feeling.

Been eyeing that switchbox since it was announced, nice looking mod, been thinking I might grab one if they have it on the black friday sale.

I like both, at different times and for different reasons. In some situations, I'll grab for my SX Mini ML (heavy, stable & doesn't easily topple over), while others will call for a Nano (or two) to be thrown into a pocket.

I don't believe that there's a single mod (in use) that I don't appreciate something about. The rare ones that get to that point usually get sold off.

Do you know the weight? It's not a value-assessment for me, strictly informational.

So true. If that were true, Titanium would be the worst building material.

Just don't want a mod that tall. Too much wasted space. It's why people choose this mod, they want small and compact. The switchbox is far from that. It's one of the biggest single battery DNA75's out there.

I totally disagree. I own just about every small mod on the market. In this league, next to a VTC Mini, a HCigar VT75, and my SMY DNA75's, as well as a VS DNA200, its approx 7mm taller then a VT75, more and less then the other models I mentioned. I assume you don't own one, and hence don't have one in your hand. If you base all your mod purchases based on a few millimeters, then you miss out on all the other positive features that mod may offer. I don't really care what mods others are enjoying, but your statement is way off base.

While it was covered in the PBUSARDO review, I just weighed it for you.

Vaporshark Switchbox DNA75: 210 grams with single 18650.
HCIGAR VT75 Nano: 163 grams with same battery.

Due to ridiculous comments on height, I'll let folks break out their own digital calipers.

Apologies to everyone for responding to off topic like this, as this discussion needs to be in another thread. But 10% bigger on a compact mod kind of takes away the benefits of the device. Everyone has their own opinions of course, and I respect that, but that mod is tall, abnormally tall for its width. I prefer short and stealthy so I'll pass on the VS.

Everything's subjective. That's a nice balance from my perspective.

As for the height, I like the tall & thin style a lot.

Heck, I like everything a lot. If it vapes well, I'll find what I like about it (and vice versa).

At 89.6mm, how does this HUGE height "take away the benefits of the device"? While your preference of short and stealthy is fine, many of my other mods fill that need:
    IStick Power Nano
    Evic Basic
    Target Mini
    To name a few.

In comparison to other 18650 mods, your 10% number is way off base in reality. If it's not for you that's fine, but your purchase measurement parameters are quite questionable in my opinion. Maybe you'll see one in hand someday, to understand.

Yes, there are a lot of devices on the market. This particular thread is about a different device. Maybe we should continue talking about that one? I've done my research on many devices, I choose this one right now over the one you're trying to inject into this thread.

I own the one this thread is based on, it's not illegal to bring up other, similar mods, to the benefit of the members viewing this thread. That was the purpose of my original post concerning the VS Switchbox.

Holding a device in your hand can be a lot more revealing then what a tape measure shows. I'll agree this is NOT the smallest, by height 18650 mod on the market, maybe my 4 Pico's could be, but in the DNA75 world, a 5-10% height difference meaning 2-8mm should not be a reason for anyone not to consider it, unless you just can't afford one.

Another plus for me with the Nano, is the raised body/ridge around the display window. Helps keep the display clean and not get marked up, like a lot of other mods do with their displays being flush with the body.

Excellent point, JJ. Also - the battery cap - as others have reported, my gray one is fine. How are the gold ones? It appears that it's an issue with just the reds, and that's just plain WEIRD.

Noalax did the trick, Nailz - even with the red one. Thanks again SO much for that tip.
