hi all, I am a 16+ year pad smoker and recently had a health scare. Doctors told me they found something "questionable" on multiple chest x-rays. Had a CT scan and was told there was nothing there! :) Decided to give vaping a real chance as I don't want this to be real someday (I had been using a cigalike but while it helped me cut down it did not help me quit). Found this forum, bought the kanger evod starter kit, and quit. I am now vaping cinnamon roll on my new MVP 2.

I just wanted to stop lurking and let you all know how much I appreciate this forum and all the advice and support you give to newbies. I am now 47 days quit and so proud of myself. :)

Thank you!!!

Well, I am also new so it ain't me you're thanking. But 47 days is great! I am still concerned about making to the 30 day mark, completely free only 5 so far. It is a great forum though, also got a lot here.

Today is day 8. I had one pack 8 days ago, 8 left in it.

Cleaned and put away ALL ashtrays though!:)

Congrats!
I finally accepted i was a smoker, but there was still guilt and judgement around it, esp because i have kids. Id looked at vaping years and years ago (before my oldest was born i think, which would have made me super old school as it was 10 yrs ago!) but cost and function wasnt there.
I finally decided to try vaping not to QUIT but to cut down on secondhand smoke smell around kiddos and i was shocked i no longer wanted to smoke! I handed off some equipment to my mom when she visited from chicago - shes never tried to quit in nearly 50yrs of smoking (she started at 9!!) and she had no desire to vape and shes smoke free since june!

Thats some sort of crazy miracle imho!

47 days? You rock! Today is 30 days for me, and I have no desire for a "stinkie". I actually had no intention of quitting smoking, I just enjoyed vaping so I figured I would do both. Boy, was I wrong! I prefer the taste of vaping more than analogs, and it is just more satisfying. I also enjoy all of the great gear and the ability to customize your experience. There are a ton of very knowledgable folks here that is more than willing to share their experience with noobs like us. Welcome aboard the vape train! :)

Congrats on the 47 days bennie2! That's a real milestone! Keep it up and soon you'll be posting your 6 month mark, then one year, etc.... You should be very proud of yourself we all know how tough it can be and the strength and dedication it takes to get off cigarettes. I'm so glad I chose to vape, it's been the one thing to work for me, and others so it appears :). The best of luck to you and keep us posted on your progress and just any ole thing that pops to mind, esp. questions. Happy Vaping :vapor:
