Lets not forget there is a massive time difference between china and the US. By my calculations, if I order something today then I should be receiving it yesterday! So if I get something from them in the mail today, I'll have to remember to order it tomorrow.

I am brand new to this board...actually just registered but lurking since last August! So brand new to posting. I am curious if you received your shipment Playerags? Mine has been delayed in Chicago too...and like you it was a big order, actually over 300 carts and 9 bottles of ejuice plus attys and batteries as well! This is what it says when I check on the order:

I am beside myself! Actually angry and ...... because it looks like Customs has taken my order. How am I suppose to get it? I have never ever had this happen before. I am getting down to just a few bottles of ejuice and will soon need carts.
I am wondering if it is because the order is so big? Any insight on what to do would be great! I am frantically looking at US suppliers so suggestions on where to go greatly appreciated to, especially for carts. Watched the video on pyramind tea bag carts - might try that.
Anyway, this has been a real eye-opener. I would probably still be lurking if this didn't happen. Maybe it will help someone else ordering from China. Oh, and I ordered from Heaven Gifts. Always great prompt service and never delays like this.

Every other Chinese order I've made from other vendors has never gone into NY or got stuck at customs. It's only from Heaven Gifts that this happens.
I think they've been flagged or something, to be honest.
I'm going to order elsewhere from now on. I got both of my orders eventually, but they took by far the longest, especially since being routed to NY when I'm in CA. No other Chinese order has done this.

I really don't understand why. I received an order a few days before this one arrived and decided instead of ordering every month, why not save a little on the shipping costs and order a bigger amount to last longer. All of my orders from them come through Chicago but this time Customs is just sitting on it.

OH NOES! I placed another order to Heaven Gifts! Hope I don't have to go through all of this again! I thought I was being smart by paying for EMS this time. I suppose that maybe I won't get lucky again!?!?!?!? :/
Ah, it must just be a thing with heavens gift for right now. I haven't ordered personally, but I know plenty of people that have..and EVENTUALLY the order comes...just gotta be patient..heh..

I don't depend on USPS tracking and could easily receive the package tomorrow but is this showing that the package was physically in New York on the 3rd or is it an alert that the package is coming. I was told by the postal guy that delivered my airmail package from DealExrtreme that international airmail sometimes goes through customs and isn't picked up by the postal service at all untill it reaches a destination airport. My package from DealExrtreme showed leaving China and then arrived at my door. It was processed by customs then went back on a plane to Shreveport, picked up by USPS there , and delivered to me. Now my only question left is, "Why the He** did my package from China turn up in New York?".

An update: Today is 10 days that it has been sitting in New York. I did go to China Post's website to check and they show arrival in NYC on the 3rd. Item shipped from China on 2/26/10. arrived in NYC in 5 days. My appreciation to China airmail for great service. No wonder that the USPS is loosing money with service like this.......
mine just says departure from outward office of exchange, and arrival at transit office of exchange 3-10-10. what does that mean?
Thats exactly why I only order from inside the U.S. I don't want to mess with customs. I ordered from dealxtreme and I'll never do that again. It took them 3 weeks just to tell me they didn't have it and were ordering it so they could sell it to me. then they tried to refund just part of my money. I put in a complaint with paypal and they immediatly give me a full refund.

For anyone following this thread, my order arrived today 03/15/10. I still don't know why it takes 13 days to go from NYC to my mail box. Total transit time from HG was 16 days (as expected). Only thing that had me worried was the New York part. Their cheaper airmail post is good for me for parts in the future.
As an update to everyone, my package is still in Chicago. Been in Customs since 2/10. I wrote Heaven Gifts last night and this morning received an email from them. They suggested I contact Customs and request the package be sent back. I found a website for Customs and sent them an email this morning. I think they should at least sent you notification when they are holding your packages (Customs). Never had any problems with shipping times (always used EMS). My problem is our U.S. government and Customs! Anyway, I will update if/when I get more information.
My best bud in Germany send me a package with a couple of CD's, a book and a bottle of baking flavoring ..just the flavor, not a niquid, and the thing was held up in customs for almost 6 weeks, then when it finally arrived it included another book that neither of us had seen before (clearly belonging to some poor soul who never got their stuff).
A previous package with about the same contents never did make it here.

I just got an order in not too long ago and my friend at the post office said that customs is just swamped with packages from China now because of the Chinese new year. So that may slow everything down even more stateside even. I have had great service with Wayne at heaven gifts and if you e-mail him he might be able to help as well.. BTW- I just got my order in yesterday that I ordered on FEB 12th
