I've been looking at some of the posters here and the pictures they put up of the many different mods they have and I wonder why so many? Unless they are some kind of mutants that have more then one mouth? LOL I have 2 devices a Copper something mechanical mod which I've used for almost 2 years exclusively and Today my brand new Joyetech Cuboid showed up and for now my Copper something mechanical mod has been retired packed up and put away most likely to be sold on Ebay. I also have 3 RDA's 2 of them are clones and one of the clones is a 4 dollar POS but around 4 months ago I went out and purchased a OEM RDA called Twisted Messes I like it, it works pretty good and now with this new Cuboid it works great I am happy I purchased this Cuboid. My point is I only have one mouth I can use at a time which means I can only use one mod at a time so it may take me 20 or 30 years before I will be able to take a picture of more than just 2 devices.
I was a two and a half pack a day smoker 2 years and 6 days ago when I quit
I started with an eGo kit, and was barely satisfied. It kept me off the cigs, but didn't keep me from looking at them longingly every time I walked through the checkout lane at a convenience store. In fact, I slipped up twice after quitting - just about half a cigarette each time. Once, when the battery in my only unit died, and once when the tank went dry and I had no spare tank or e-liquid.
I upgraded to an iStick 20 and a Kamry K1000 (I used to smoke a pipe as well as cigarettes and like the form factor of the K1000). I also nabbed a couple Anyvape Davide tanks because they would use either Aspire BDC, BVC, or Kanger EVOD coils. I just wanted to be prepared so as to never smoke another stinky!
THEN, I found the ECF. I won a mech with an RDA, and a Kanger Subtank Mini V1 shortly after joining. My vaping habits changed overnight! However, with this newfound bounty, I felt silly having a tank without a mod, and I felt silly having an RBA and not knowing how to build. A quick visit to a B&M solved that! Now, I had 5 mods (eGo, iSitck 20, K1000, Copper Overdose Mech, and another cheap 20 box that is long since dead and gone). And, I could build 1+ Ohm coils for the Kanger Subtank.
Ah, but that meant that I had a .5 Ohm coil that I couldn't use... hmmm... bought an iStick 30.
Do you see where this is going?
After a while, I created a new set of rules: I could only have one of any device. By setting and sticking to that rule, I could successfully con myself and The Wife into thinking I was a reviewer. I sit up late at night, vaping, testing mods, RDAs, and tanks and pounding furiously on the keyboard or talking to the camera.
Today, I have a blog, a YouTube channel, more mods than I'll ever use (but I DO rotate through them on a regular basis), and I've given away as many devices as I own giving new vapers a start.
Some call it shinyitis. Some call it collecting. I call it paying forward what information I have and can share in an effort to help others and to express my gratitude to the vaping community for saving my life, the lives of my children and step-children (vapers, now, instead of smokers), and slowly but surely weaning my mother off of the analogs.
Yeah, and it doesn't hurt that I always have a new toy coming in the mail
