Since last Saturday I have been testing the sample smileomizer that John sent out and have found:
a) Taste of the sample smileomizer is as good as any of the best previous smileomizers, with lots of vapor production.
b) The sample smileomizer lacks the tight draw that the previous smileomizers had (even with the tiny hole in the metal tip).
c) As the sample smileomizer aged the draw did not tighten up allowing it to last much longer.

This is the main difference; lacks a tight draw and doesn’t tighten up as it ages allowing it to last longer.

For me: That is what the problem is with the current smileomizers – they start out very tight and get much tighter as they age cutting the life span down by more than 50%.

It seems like V4L might have solved the problems with the smileomizers. I look forward to ordering the newer smileomizers when they come out on the website.

I just sent John an email hoping to get replacement batteries for ones that don't hold a full charge for half the time they did when new, up until a month ago. They're replacements from 4-5 months ago. I'd given up trying for more replacements.
They kind of made me feel like I was ripping them off instead of me paying top dollar for an unreliable product with a one year warranty. We will see how that goes. At least he's replying to people here now so good on you John!

I have good news to report about John, the CEO for V4L that posted on here recently.
He responded quickly and told me they are sending me 3 replacement Zeus batteries.
He also told me I didn't have to go through all the steps of getting an RMA, packing and sending product back,
Then waiting for their determination of whether it is a defect or user error.
This made me very satisfied and I hope that they continue trying to satisfy customers with service like that!
His interest in my opinion on pricing, quality, and understanding my frustrations seemed very genuine
so maybe there is still hope for the company to make some needed changes. Time will tell and I really hope that they
turn around some of the things that have been missing, such as his responses here and to 2 people's issues
that he made right.

I'm so glad they are trying to vamp of there stuff,,,,,, but I have had to many bad smileomeizer,, batteries,,,tanks leaking,,,carts not lasting very long,,,,,i still get some just to get the life out of the batterys I have some left waiting for them to die which won't be long not even 6 months old but did love starting out and getting some good cs way back when but I love to see them get back on there feet and kick it off again,,, but they need update stuff,,, on hardwear and up there status of new stuff,,, I started with them long ago and just within the last 8 months got new gear from another source,,, Good luck V4L

They also make it almost impossible to find them on the website.

So much changed so fast that I moved on to better things, but checked them out a year ago and gave them
another try with the Zeus and smileomizers. They were great for a short time and then their spiral straight down started.
I too have wasted way too much money on bad product.
Now I'm using the iStick 50 and a Kanger Subtank mini and I'm in vape heaven again, all for $85, and 3 day battery life out of the iStick 50...Life is good! Good luck with all the future holds in the vaping community.

Strange, they had someone kind of on staff 2 CEO's ago who told them how things were shifting.... They let that person go unceremoniously and since the forums have turned to crap and still no real new product or design since the start of 2013... And yet there's new designs and innovations (however slight) every day coming from china.... 808 lost to the 510, mods like porn dictated the industry. V4L forgot how to be themselves and are now focused solely on copying those who were bought out by BT.... They forgot who they were even back then, being obsessed with the success of a rival and instead of focusing on themselves. I remember a time when new product was being created and released every 4-6 months, a must when it comes to electronics. I do not count their last new tech the disposables. They only work if you have a retail chain to sell them in. It was a wasted effort. Not only has the customer base suffered from these poor moves, it's obvious the business itself has as well. What V4L needs to do is let go of past success, focus on today and tomorrow. But what do I know, just a guy who used to be a big part of this and their own forum who now does a weekly podcast on vaping with friends from their forum....

And just to further my point, it's been 4 days and no response from V4L and this is the first new post in here since then. Who remembers when if you didn't log into this forum for a day you were 20-30 posts behind?

I know what you are saying there Sir,,,, I sure do miss the good ole days,,,,,that was my thing coming in here and saying good morning to all,and just seeing what we can do to make everyone laugh,,,, but v4l,,, needs to answer people in here but we do get someone they hired and then they leave,,,this was my home away from home,,,, but like everyone else they have gone to upgrades on there hardwear like I have,,,,, but I think it is time for us all to say bye to v4l,,,,,ecf will close this before long and it will be gone forever,,,,, but I miss everyone and hope to see them all again some day...
