Glad you are happy with what you got :D

I was like a kid at Christmas when I got my first box mod and then the zenith turned up ;)

lol

Yes; that's always the way, isn't it?

I'm still a bit dubious about the menu settings -can't seem to figure out how to "lock" it so I'm not accidently changing the settings while I'm handling it, and am still a bit uncertain about the resistance settings and such. I'll have to go back to youtube and watch some the reviews again -a couple of people went through the menu and explained some of them.

Otherwise, I'm very happy for now. The next adventure will probably be to try learning to make my own coils, but that can wait 'til I'm far more sure of myself using what I have.

Oh, and more flavors...I see myself amassing a huge collection of flavors to mix-n-match. It will probably be a lot of fun, I think, to choose a new flavor or two every month, and I can buy big bottles without approaching my previous expenditure on cigarettes -and if I just buy the small sampler sizes, I can imagine trying dozens of them every year without causing financial harm. :) :)

Yes, Baditude, that is me.

I smoked my last cigarette just before the box arrived - I had prepared myself for days, and did not even have "just one more" before switching cold turkey.* I smoked over a pack a day -sometimes far more- for 35 years, so I am very happy with myself for having made the switch, and am very happy with how relatively easy it has been.

I found this forum then, but did not want to hang around because I was afraid all the talk about smoking would hinder my chance to quit.

I have already worn out two batteries -they both died within a day of each other. I only have one left (glad I sprang for the spare), and am trying to make it through the weekend when two replacements should arrive. I wanted to try something else, but was afraid, so bought the same things again...then after, remembered this place.

So...yeah...I'm hoping to end up with a reliable system that will work for me for years, and help prevent me from smoking.

*I most dearly loved smoking; and never, ever, ever thought I would be able to quit. Fact is: I never wanted to quit; I only did so because my family has always had to suffer with my addiction, and have always worried about me and my health. I do still miss smoking sometimes, and often think I should have had "just one more" or at least a "thank-you and goodbye" kind of ritual thing...but I didn't. Now, that I am away, I want to stay away; and to that end I think I need a more reliable kit that isn't likely to leave me with nothing over a weekend again.
I am a newbie too. I may be your twin. I dearly loved smoking and didn’t want to quit. Ever. Yet here I am. What worked for me was having backups for my backups. It was trial and error but I am there. I can be around people smoking and it doesn’t tempt me because I have found what makes me happy. I wish I could tell you what that is but we are all different. Wishing you best. The folks here are wonderful.

Congratulations, Mimi25. I'm glad you found what worked for you, and that you're not tempted by other people smoking around you. I know I still have a bit of trouble in that department because I feel cravings when I see someone smoking on television.

I'm guessing that both cravings and temptation will be an issue for me at odd moments for the next few years, so I hope to always have both a plan for handling it when it happens.

Right now, I'm just very happy to have a system that seems perfect for me, plenty of batteries and supplies, and this forum if I have questions or just want to talk to those who understand and have been there before.
