LOL.. sorry just a bit of acronym error on my part, my whole last post was solely about the BVC.

Yes you can totally rebuild the BDC's. The BVC's are rebuildable too.... but not nearly as effective since so far no one has found a method to replicate the efficency that the BVC ceramic wick material provides. It totally wouldnt surprise me that if in a couple of months though, some one comes up with a solution to the BVC rebuild issue.

LOL yeah I spotted this video a couple hours ago, and was just coming to post it here for you. Notice too, he talks at the begining that this is for mouth to lung hitters, and I suspect this is because the difference in the cotton compared to the ceramic filler.

LOL. Good thing I'm a mouth to lung hitter. :D I actually messaged him on youtube a day or two ago and asked him to do a build on one..lol. But I suspect I wasn't the only one messaging him to do so. I wish he would have shown him taking the old stuff out though. Luckily I've got some BDC's and BVC's to experiment with.

I used to be a mouth to lung hitter back when I first started. Got some drippers. Now it's all lung hits for me. Even with my Erlkonigin.

Yeah, I tried a few lung hits and I just liked mouth to lung better. Lung hits felt harsh to me but idk if that was because of it being a 24mg juice or if I just needed to get used to it. Of course I was trying lung hits on an Aspire nautilus though. But I just got my IGO-W, Stillare Clone, and got an IGO-L coming today. So that may change. But I've only got some 12mg juice at the moment and that might be a bit too high to use with my drippers. Not sure. I'm learning as I go.

I started at 24mg myself. After about 2 weeks I found that it was too strong for me (started getting headaches from nic OD) and dropped to 18mg. 2 weeks with that and the same thing. Too strong again so dropped down to 12mg. That was fine for me in my RTAs but as soon as I got my drippers I started getting nic sick with the 12mg so dropped down to 6mg. Since I don't want to keep both on hand (6mg for dripping and 12mg for tanks) I just use 6mg in my RDAs and RTAs now.

I found that when dripping, you really can't get the air to flow across the coils fast enough with mouth hits so I began using lung hits and now it's just natural and comfortable.

Everything about vaping is a learning experience, including how to hit one.

Yup, I was finding 24mg too strong. So I'm down to 18mg and 12mg juices now. I've got to get me some 6mg juice for the RDA's. But I'm going to be brave and try the 12mg juice when I get one built this weekend. lol

He disasembled one in his review video from 3 weeks ago;
The Aspire Nautilus Mini - YouTube
at 12m50s in he starts taking the coil apart.

Ah, I forgot about that. I do remember watching the video though. But in that video he ruined the coil tearing it apart. He must have found another way to take them apart without ruining the housing of the coil. I'll have to figure it out. I'm also wondering if he took out all the filler material? I know in that BDC video he left the filler material that's around the inside edges of the coil. But I'm not for sure if it looks the same in the BVC's? I guess I'll find out when I tear them apart. But I think I'm going to try building an RDA first. May not get into tearing up coils until next week. Not sure yet. I still gotta get a torch lighter.

Edit- Ah I see that's cotton wrapped around the ceramic wicking. I'm guessing he left the cotton in when did that newest rebuild.

Get a fogger V4.4 or a IGO-W to learn your rebuild skills at first, IMO. Before moving on to rebuilding kanger and aspire coils. What you learn on a "real" rebuildable will translate.....BUT a fogger or IGO-W will be far more forgiving and easier, since you will have a lot more room to work with.

Once you get your fundementals down, then it is a lot easier to rebuild kanger and aspire heads in general.

I got a Stillare Clone, an IGO-L, and an IGO-W. The IGO-W came built with a .37 build on it though. So I'm going to have to unbuild that one before I rebuild it. And I specifically asked for them not to build it. Damn dummies, lol. Why in the hell would they sent a .37 build out to someone when they don't even know what equipment I'm using?? LOL. Thanks for the advice though. I do plan on working on the RDA's first to get the hang of it before I attempt to tackle the aspire coils.

Because most people these days have a mech mod, and want to sub-ohm. So that is the defaut they send out. They come "custom" built from a lot of vendors as;

28 Gauge Single Micro Coil (approx 1.3 ohms) 1.8mm Single Airhole
28 Gauge Dual Micro Coil (approx .8 ohms) 1.5mm Dual Airhole
24 Gauge Single Macro Coil (approx .4 ohms) 1.8mm Single Airhole

Honestly, the MVP isnt the greatest platform to be doing what you want to do. It is great for tanks with prebuilt coils, but as soon as I got into rebuildables I got something that has more range and is still a VW.

Dont get me wrong the MVP is a great starter VW mod, but if you find rebuilding your thing, you will soon find yourself wanting at least a 30w Segeli or Seven 30 Mod by Pioneer 4 You..... AND if you get into cloud chasing all these "cool" 50, 100, 150W devices popping up will call your name in your sleep.

A few quick photos of my first build. It's a little crooked and janky and the coils could be slightly tighter, but this is my first coil ever. I think I did pretty good for my first time. It came out to exactly 1.5 ohms. I built it on the Stillare Clone. I wanted to use a flavor I like so I dripped some 18mg juice and OMG I'm a bit dizzy from the nicotine..lol. But it works good and I'm happy it came out ok. :)

yeah... you will want some MUCH lower nic level juice for the dripper. I found that as i improved my gear, my nic level needed to decrease BUT my juice volume went up.
