Okay so here is the deal, I have been vaping for about over a year. I started with the Ego mod with atty and cartridge. Then went to dripping then to cartomizer DCT tank, then finally got an Ego Twist and then added mini nova clearos. Im a 510 person, always have been, and really not interest in trying any other system. What I have been pounding for about 6 months or so is getting a mod. At first I was all up for the Reo mod. Box mod all cool, great reviews, but then I heard the Reo Grand was gonna come in VV, so I gave that away since I wanted to wait. Then I really turned away since I got the ego twist and all that. But man Im itching for a mod badly again. Now here is my MAIN two problems

One is money. Now I can spend over a hundred for a mod. Yeah sure, but here is my problem that is not all that I need. Then I gotta add the batteries and the charger and blah blah and that comes to more than 200 easily. I mean, I just would like to buy a bundle and not have to spend almost 200+ dollars after shipping for just a mod. To find out that is not all that and that my Ego twist was performing good, probably not like any of these mods but good that was worth the 30 dollars.

Now second. Say I decide to jump for it. There are SO many mods VV and fixed. Now I have the ego twist and I really like the fact that I can try different Ohms and different volts for different juices. But I have heard fixed is extremely good too.

Now here is the conclusion, and bare with me I know is a lot, Im almost done I promise haha. I want a tube mod. Something decent, something with a track record but not something 200+ dollars, a bundle would be really good too. I can deal with fixed or VV Im willing to bend my arm both ways but Im more towards VV since I have more "options". I know lots of you out there have 10 mods. But I really dont have the cash flow to have 10 mods. I want something that I can buy, get and say wow. *throws ego in a drawer*

So how about it? Opinions? Help?

smoktek.com has the z-max for a reasonable price and its VV and VW you might look there. They also have the Bolt mod thata a fixed voltage and pretty damned tough from what I hear.As far as vendors go, these guys have lightning fast shipping.ive ordered at 10am and the orders been shipped that afternoon on 3 different occasions.

Regardless what you pick good luck and congrats on your first mod. Its a great feeling when your package arrives in the mail

Well I recently went with the Buzz pro kit:
Buzz Pro

You have to glue a couple of things together, but you save a good 20 bucks. It's a really good deal IMO considering the reviews on it and it's all around awesomeness. They have a video on how to glue the things together. I think you'd come around $100 with the charger and batteries.

Are you super set on a Tube mod only? The reason is... Beast Box.... uses 2 big 'ole 26500 batteries, can easily get several days off of one charge and you can get it with a charger, 2 batteries, and the box for ~$96. You custom order box color, button color, LED color if you want one, whether or not it has a drip cup....

EDIT: Sorry if that throws a monkey wrench into your decision making. :D

I'm glad you posted this. I've been using the KGO VV and love the VV option. It was only $24 and it works GREAT. The only problem is the battery is dead after 3 hours of heavy use. I need something that is going to last all day and not cost a fortune. I'm going to look into some of your suggestions. But can anyone tell me how long they last with heavy vaping? That is a deal breaker for me. I need a long lasting VV system that does not look like a box. They are too big and bulky for my taste.

Anybody else has any other suggestions? I'm starting to seriously look at the bolt, it feels and looks like a silver bullet for what I hear. but much cheaper.

The new anodized Bolts are fantastic, get the extension in case you might like to add a kick for variable wattage down the track.

So a local vendor has "rented" me the Vmax. And wow. That thing is just amazing. and is the V1 which many of us know it sucks compared to the V2. Now this thing is great. Full day of vaping. Nice build, strong performance so far. I have put in it many different systems and they all work stellar. So I have decided that Im going to get the Vmax. Just a great little device.

If you're not in a hurry to get an APV, I would keep an eye out for reviews on the "Ego" VV/VW from HC which only cost $39+shipping.

eGo Variable Volt/Watt APV (only Body) [D-B4 APV] - $39.00 : Healthcabin Electronic Cigarettes - Wholesale and Retail

This is a thread I started on that product. You'll have to excuse my learning curve because I didn't have any information on it when I got it. But I hope it helps.

It also has links to reviews that are translated in english and also some different websites and their names for it. Basically all of them are the same unit.

I have the VV/VW ego mod for $39. Check my avatar. I will say, for what this thing can do, and the price, you can't beat it. I paid a little bit more for it at my local B&M store, but it would probably have cost more with shipping than what I paid. This thing is amazing. I would definitely recommend waiting until it is in stock at reputable vendors and try it out. I haven't tried the Vmax 2, but supposidly this device does everything the Vmax 2 does, at a much cheaper price. Me and another guy who both bought the only 2 our B&M store had in stock have been raving about it. From what I've seen, it's mainly called the VAMO, though it may have other names. Go out and research it though, and all the other devices out there.

**edit** the post above mine is from the other guy I was talking about lol. Apparently he found your thread at the same time I did. So there you go.
