Hey folks,

I've been busy for the past few months and haven't kept up on the latest stuff hitting the market, but I'm now ready to continue my quest to find an rta that doesn't have a major drawback of some sort. I've been through several different models, but they all either leak, have insufficient airflow, are the wrong size or are just plain ugly. Here's what I've tried:

kayfun 3.1 - insufficient airflow
Fogger v4.4 - insufficient airflow
Billow v1 - leaks though the air intakes
Youde Goblin - leaks through the fill port

I just want a 22mm rta that I can get a lung hit off of and that won't leak out in my pocket. Adjustable airflow and ease of refilling would be a plus (no needle bottles). Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

squape Rs althopugh refilling might be an issue.

A cheaper option is the kanger subtank mini - AF to spare, doesnt leak, simple single-coil build on the RBA deck and premade coils if you want. Still have to unscrew the base to refill but can just pour in liquid from a bucket if thats all you have.

Lots of others around now though. Many of the 'sub-ohm' tanks have RBA options and many have top filling and mucho AF options...

Take a look at the billow v2. They fixed all the drawbacks of the v1. No fill screw needed anymore, you can tweak your build without draining the tank, no leaks, massive airflow, not overly expensive, 5 ml capacity, etc. I admit I'm not a huge fan of its looks but its "great personality" in the performance and no annoyances categories overcome the looks.

I also agree with TheotherSteveS -- Kanger STM using the RBA section is an excellent choice for single coil (and super easy build to boot).

I just got one of these last week and it is AMAZING!!
KAYFUN UNDEAD Rebuildable Atomizer – VIPSTER VAPES
They fixed the airflow by drilling two HUGE holes in the deck. I just closed off the original airflow (screw) and use the two new ones. The airflow is perfect! I LOVE my Kayfun 3.1's, but this thing is a beast!! Its on sale now and you can also get the matching flat top cap for a couple of bucks extra!

Either the Lemo or Lemo 2 will work for you. You're already familiar with wicking a Kayfun, and these are about identical. The difference is you get a LOT more airflow, and no plastic.

Neither will leak if you halfway know what you're doing. These are even less likely to leak than a Kayfun.

With the Lemo 2 you get even more (adjustable) airflow and top filling. My favorite tank at the moment.

Wow, that's very interesting. Do you have any issues with juice flow? I ended up drilling out the juice holes on my KF4 to get it to feed 80% VG properly, but of course airflow is another big issue with the 4 (even with the S kit). A 3.1 with more airflow and adequate juice flow would be a treat.

Not yet. I was vaping Bobas Bounty in it all this weekend. I use the topfill, upside down flip (LOL) fill method and it creates a heck of a vacuum in it. I haven't had a problem wicking anything in it yet! Even though I'm a mouth to lung hitter, the new holes make it a great lung hitter if that's your thing.

Also check out the zephyrus from youde, I love mine. But as with any if you don't wick it just right it will leak. Rda is DC and has massive airflow. It's under 30 bucks all included, someone said found it for 20. There is a thread about it.

+1 on the Zephyrus. The only thing I don't like about it is the small build deck. Once you get that down it vapes like a dream with no leaking.

Thanks all, gonna give the Subtank Mini a shot.

You can't go wrong with any of the Subtanks. Well, except maybe the original. I have the original Subtank, a Subtank Plus, and a Subtank Mini. Of all the RDAs I have (multiple orchids, Lemo 1, Lemo 2, etc.) I use my Subtanks the most. The Mini version RBA works well if you wick it right (look up Buttkicker's Reviews on Youtube). I vape it up to 30 watts pretty easily. Haven't tried the new RBA with the juice ports in the chimney instead of channels in the base, but I use the Segatank RBA in my Atlantis V2 with the same design and it works well too.

Easy to rebuild, easy to fill, great flavor. Just don't invest too much into the prebuilt coils. At least the old ones. I haven't tried the new ones yet that mimic the Atlantis vertical coil style, just the horizontal ones, and I've always been disappointed with them. Stick with the RBA and you won't go wrong.
