I hope OS is doing ok too, Thanks for getting it straightened out, and my apologizes for not folding for the past week, im currently building a better Rig that is more F@H friendly than my Mac Pro.. So ill be back online as soon as possible... And as long as my wallet lets me, kinda going a little overboard as my Wifey like to keep reminding me, but who doesn't....:lol::lol::lol:

Thank you Misty and Dusty! I know the titles aren't an ECF priority in the grand scheme of things, but it's very much appreciated in our little corner here :)

My PPD took a dive, my gpu oc'ing came undone for some reason. Looked at my client window this morning and noticed I was grinding 30mins per frame on 8900 and thought WTH!! Checked Precision and was at 358 clock speed on my 650ti :glare: This is the 2nd time it's happened over the past couple of months...no clue why. It's fixed now tho.

Gentle as I can sash ;)

Bov what you clock speed set at with that 650ti and whats your tpf on a 8900? I'm thinking about getting another one but a friend of mine wants to sell me his old 560 card but hasn't told me how much he wants yet. The 650ti has 768 cores but the 560 only has 384 so I dont know if it is going to be worth what he wants for it...

Should be zooming a little more I would think - but my i5 and i7 are getting bout the same ppd even though the i5 is only at 4ghz and the i7 is 4.5ghz. I really expected the i7 to do a lot better then the i5... I'm still working on the overclocks but thats as high as I can seem to get and still be stable AND under the thermal throttle. Both are haswell chips and I'm sure I could get more out of them if I could get the temps down. If I up the clocks any more I get bsod with codes to increase voltage but if I increase the voltage they get too hot :(
Kinda surprised nobody really chimed in with what I should do to max these suckers out or which cooler I should use to get the lowest temps on the i7 short of phase change cooling... ;)

Harmonic, I'm getting about 9.5 minutes TPF on the 8900...clock speed at 1097. I stay stable there, increase any more on my rig and I get unstable. Keep in mind that I stream vids and do everything else on this machine too, so you may get better TPF on a folding rig that you aren't doing anything else on. My gpu temp averages around 50c. I'm getting a lot of the 78xx wus too and I run just under 4mins TPF on them. I have my SMP slot off.

Wish I could help with your other questions, but I haven't a clue, sorry.

My clock speed is 1163. I'm using MSI afterburner to oc and have the voltage maxed at +75 which other utils report as 1.5v but it drops and stays mostly at 1.37 The MSI settings are core +240 and mem +25 which right now gives me a tpf of 9min on 8900 but it has been a little lower sometimes guess it depends on the part of the wu is working on. Temps are only 53c. Ive tried going higher and while it seems to fold ok if I run the windows assessment it crashes the video driver so I stopped there.
Right now the system is only folding but before too long the computer will get moved into the master position that will be the main family pc which doubles as the occasional htpc for video watching. Folding will be paused for those occasions lol.
My card is a PNY what brand is yours maybe that makes a difference lol Also for what its worth I have it in my i7 machine and left the cpu at -1 for full folding. Ive tried turning off the smp but it didn't seem to make any difference.

Harmonic, my card is the PNY also. My Precision settings are +177 gpu clock and +20 mem clock. The main reason I shut down my SMP slot was heat build up in my bedroom. Honestly, my old quad core doesn't give a big enough return to make it worth having to run my window ac harder for the heat.

It's a tightrope dance between what I want, what I can afford, and keeping my MIL happy

Just wanted to let you all know i fired the Mac Pro back up again and currently finishing up my first fold from shutting it off a few weeks ago, this PC build is going to take a little bit more time than i thought, seems i have a few wild ideas I'm gonna try, and since they were kind enough to grant us our titles i figured it was only right to fold on what i have for now, which doesn't do that bad anyways.... :toast:

Hope everyone is having a great night or morning depending on where you are in this world. :D

Yep top 100 in 1.3 days :headbang:

Congrats Harmonic on the 3 mill.

I've been quietly folding away over here for a bit now. I finally cleaned up my 660 TI and it is running smoothly again.

I shut down the SMP/CPU folding to save a bit on power. and guess what.. my PPD with only GPU folding is higher than it was running both. So yeah 82k PPD on 1 GPU slot :headbang:
