It has taken me weeks to decide on the IPro. I love the look of the m1a1 tanks but the deal breaker for me is punching cartos. Yes, I hear it is very easy but I just don't want to deal with it at this point. I'm still a noob and need it dummied down!

I've gotten a lot of great feedback but I am still confused.

Now I am looking for pre-punched cartos but haven't been able to find any. What goes with what??? And now I have wasted hours and gotten nowhere checking out various configurations/vendors.

Could anyone simplify things for me?

Should I use tanks, clearos, cartos. Which ones fit the IPro and still keep the pretty sleek look? I want easy to use and nice looking (I know I ask for too much!) I don't care if I get the 808 or the 510. I just don't want to keep adding adaptors and making it longer. And I don't want to have to do any modifications. Is there anything that will fit and be ready to use as is?

I need specific recommendations of devices and vendors if possible. I just can't order the IPro unless I can figure out a complete set up. And I really want an IPro NOW!!!!!!!

Punching cartos is insanely easy. You can find prepunched cartos from different places but most of the time the hole sizes are incorrect in some way or another. If you want simple, the M1A1 is really the way to go. Once you punch the carto, it'll last you days (if not weeks) and the only maintenance is changing the batteries and topping off the tank once a day.

The syringe and the screw/fill port really makes syringe filling a breeze. No dripping, leaking, anything else. Once you get the hang of how to punch a carto it literally takes me under 30 seconds to put two holes in mine. There are also carto punching jigs out there that I've seen that are available for $20-$40 if I recall correctly.

Clearos have other issues that go with them and honestly I wouldn't even consider them if you're new to the game. I'm coming up on a year of vaping and I still haven't tried them yet. You can also get some cartos and use straight cartos until you feel like venturing into tank land. I've converted 4 of my friends to ecigs - 3 have Buzz's and one has an Ipro. I suggested to all of them to start of with normal Boge LR (2.0) stainless cartos in the beginning and then venture out from there. The Boge's work well and will get you started with the least amount of hassle.

Buy an IPro with an 808 connector.

Use your existing 808 connector cartos.

No tanks, no atties, no drip tips, no adapters will be needed the majority of the time.

Now adapters. The reasons to use them are because sometimes they just plain work better with certain cartos, because at least some of them are sealed (less likely to have any eliquid get into the PV), because they can provide better air flow, and because they let you try/use cartos or atties with different connector types.

This adapter, 901-808 adapter - notcigs.com,
I'm pretty sure is the same as the one I got from notcigs a year ago. While it is not sealed it has worked with every single 808 cartomizers I've put on it, and I have used many cartomizers.

Today I was reordering cartos, and I picked up one each of the 901-801 and 901-510 adapters here: Low Profile & Stealth Adapters - IkenVape Store

The 901-801 is so that I can use: 801 Fusion Cartomizer STD - IkenVape Store these are some really popular cartomizers, happen to have an 801 fitting. Since you don't want to try a tank yet, if you wanted to try these really nice cartomizers you might prefer: MEGA 801 Fusion Cartomizer STD - IkenVape Store, since they hold more eliquid (more time between refills).

Summary
1) Buy the IPro, 808 fitting.
2) From notcigs, buy their 901/808 adapter.

The above gets you a solid setup.

3) From ikenvape buy stealth 901/801 and 901/510 adapters.
4) From ikenvape buy some 2.5 ohm fusion cartomizers, either standard or XL/mega.

The above gets you adapters to use with other connector styles, with the fusions being a really nice thing to try.

That's a good thing, it is cheaper to buy at the same time. Don't forget to use the coupon code, you'll see the discount later in the order process.

Sorry to bother you again but........What if I got the Ipro 801 and use the IVK801 cartos. Then I wouldn't need an adapter right?

I know you suggested the 808 IPro but it doesn't really matter to me. I have a lot of 808 batteries so I really don't mind switching to a 801 or 510.

I'm being silly but I'm trying to coordinate all the colors now!

The 801 fusion should work directly, just trying to give you flexibility. There are multiple adapters going from 808 to other connectors, but fewer going from 801 to others.

Right now you may like cartos, but it is nice to be able to try different things, over time. Also, the 901/801 adapter I pointed to is sealed, which gives a bit more protection against eliquid leaks.

Okay than I need to rethink my colors because the stealth adapters are gold. I was going with either purple or blue with chrome but that probably wouldn't look good with a gold adapter. For some reason I don't think blue or purple would look very pretty with the brass?

Now I'm thinking silver with brass and then the gold adapter might look pretty. I know that black looks nice with the brass but I don't want black.

Oh so many decisions........

Madvapes is the only one I have seen with prepunched cartos. they have the Smoketek dual coil available prepunched, and those should work in the M1A1. It is my opinion that they are in inferior carto, compared to the Boge or Ikenvape products.

Honestly, punching a carto is one of the easiest things with a tank. If you are interested in any tank other than the M1A1, filling them (in my opinion) is a far bigger pain in the ... than punching them.
