help iatty burnt taste

So I have only had my iatty for half a day. It blows huge clouds of smoke and is just amazing. After an hour of vaping fantastic. I now get a burnt taste. If I open the top cap and tighten it again burnt taste is gone for about 5 drags then I taste it again. Any suggestions?

Iatty at 2.2 ohms
Running on provari at 4.2volts
juice is 60vg /40pg

I just unscrewed the Iatty from the provari and blew on the 510 connection and took 30 drags with no burnt taste chain vaping. I then put it down for 10min and burnt taste is back after a couple drags. Any other ideas?

What's the pg/vg content of your juice, and how far open do you have the cone? Sounds like you are not wicking as quick as you want to.

A few other things to check, how long is your wick? I had some wicking issues with thick VG but it was mainly because the wick was a bit too short on one side, and I had the cone closed too much. You can adjust the cone with a pair of pliers if you open the top cap. Also, make sure your o-ring in the cap is making a good seal.

Thedude, better to not use pliers because if the cone is so tight on the plastic, when you will try to unscrew the cone maybe the plastic will get unscrewed too and we will lose the contact with the wires.

So, tight hard the plastics and dont totally screw the cone. Leave 1/2mm before the end of the threads.

Gotcoffee, open the cone about 3 turns buddy and check the length of your wicks as thedude said

Wick is down to the big o ring. I only had it opened about 1 turn. I now opened it about 3 turns. So far so good, I am chain vaping the heck out of the iatty and it is keeping up. The whole room is filled with vapor and I am getting light headed from vaping so much. I will try it throughout the day but so far no burnt taste. I can't believe how much vapor this the iatty puts out. Thank you guys for the tips. I will let you know later today how its doing.

When you say 'turn', you mean a quick finger turn yeah (about 90 degrees)? Not a full 360 degree turn?

I use 60% vg - 40% flavor as Bruce makes his liquids and I open 90 degrees the cone. I dont make any adjustments after that. If I see a burn taste when liquid goes 1mm from the bottom I totally open the cone and I put it inside the reffiling cap K2
