Help me identify (and clean!) my eGo-T clone?

I should have known what I ordered wasn't a genuine eGo-T when I paid only $6.25/atty, but it performed great for a couple of days... when it started getting juice discoloration, I decided to pry off the needle plate and do a clean and dry burn, I totally destroyed it. At first I thought the wick had just stuck to the coil, as occasionally happens with an eGo-T, but after closer inspection what I found was that the wick runs through the coil, loops back up, and goes up into the needle plate... so once you pull the needle plate off, you're screwed. I got two of these, so I won't make the same mistake twice.. but how on earth do I clean this? Can I dry-burn with the needle plate still on, if I'm careful not to pop the coil?

PS. the primer fluid lasted forever in this thing, since the wick is so huge. Sucks for quickly changing out flavors, too. I guess I'll be sticking to genuine joyetech products from now on. Totally Wicked is an authorized US reseller, yeah?

I don't dry burn eGos - lost a few and the 151 vodka - Galen's cheap charcoal filtered, unflavored, uncolored is what I use and have used for 2 years. I put it in a sealable jar - I have one with a hinged lid and a silicone seal - the stuff evaporates quickly... and enough to fully submerge a B type atty - sometimes I'll put something under one side of the jar so I don't use as much vodka - and I let it set for about 20 minutes - long soaks tend to mush up the wicking. You'll see the clear vodka turn yellow and I'll lightly blow out the atty afterwards but with the 151 the drying is almost immediate (everclear would be even better in that regard - not available to consumers in Ohio). Blow it out lightly because you don't want to affect the wick placement and I blow from the batt end. Always works for me unless it's a wick placement problem rather than a gunk problem. I've found the vodka in the jar is good for about three atty cleanings before having to clean and refill.
